And I will do much better than him. I'm not under a contract which means I'm free..and I will only demand 40k per year plus small percentage for winning trophies.

oh piss off
what a pointless and useless thread.

Crouch is an International with a lot of goals and has played very well for spurs and won more cups than half the current squad. he has the winners mentality

Think about it,nearly every picture you see of crouch ,he has his head in his hands after missing yet another chance.

For fucks sake, people need a new scapegoat now Keane has gone, and they pick on Crouch. Boris, obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but I don't think you see what Crouch brings to the team.

Yes he is not a prolific goalscorer, and admittedly his ability to hold up the ball is questionable at times, but consider the fact that with him in the team we are currently challenging for 4th place, he is such an awkward player to play against - he wins so many free kicks as defenders don't know how to get the ball off him.

People who say we go direct to him are wrong - the only time is when Dawson gets the ball and hoofs it long (more to do with Dawsons limitations at playing the short game), but why is that wrong? Crouch won the ball in the air on at least a couple of occassions in terms of creating chances for Defoe.

If you have the Hull away game you should give it another go. Just so you can feel the big difference between how we used to play from the kick off back when Keane was in the team and how we are playing now. Big difference. I can't talk about what he brings as I haven't seen much of it, but we definitely lost a lot.

He won many balls today but consider this in order for those wins to count he always needs a second player right next to him and I don't think Defoe really enjoys that.

I know ,what Crouch brings to spurs, its the percentage long ball.If this was Wimbledon, you`d` be moaning.
I go home and away, its long ball and direct football.
Ive got ,no problems with Keane,im one of few that thinks he is a spurs legend.
Spurs will be lucky to finish in the top six, we have poor run of fixtures in April, where we will struggle to get a point. That will hurt us.
If you dont think,we are playing direct, your kidding youself.
Crouch can win a ball in the air ,he struggles to direct it and thats giving away possession.
I cant see, how,im wrong if it looks like a long ball its a long ball.

This is very hard on Crouch. He won almost everything played up to him, almost every time he played it in the direction of a Spurs player.

However, he still showed today why we shouldn't have signed him. He wins it, it falls to a Spurs player, it's a half chance at best. And we don't score. Because he never creates a real gilt-edged chance that way. Nobody ever does. It's percentage football.

We played it to his feet a few times too (very, very few). Unless he had five yards of space at the time, he lost the ball. He actually has a very poor touch, even for a big man (VPTEFBM).

But you know what, this isn't his problem. He's in the team to provide a specific role. And he fulfills all he should in that role. SO LEAVE HIM ALONE. Don't turn him into the latest scapecoat. He's trying god damn it. And he does all we should reasonably expect.

No you couldn't because you are not good enough. If you could you would be out there showing us how easy it is. You are not out there because you failed and Crouch was out there because he played for Liverpool England and now spurs. Now instead of being an antagonist why don't you turn all that negativity into positivity towards OUR football club and stop starting ridiculous threads trying to provoke pages of anti spurs rhetoric.

I agree with almost everything you said, I also think he is a clever player and his work rate is very high, BUT I won't leave him alone until he thickens those ready to brake legs. He loses the ball often as his muscles do not have the strength to stretch his legs fast enough, and that also affects his acceleration, maintaining high speed, being able to out-jump the defenders without putting both his arms on their shoulders committing a foul in the process, being able to stay on his feet when pushed around, he takes so long to swing the ball the defenders have plenty of time to make the block, etc, etc.

He has a very narrow specific role, but him sitting in that comfty zone does not provide the team with a lot of options, and if they try to play any other way that pretty much leaves him out of the game so in order to get him involved we have to play the silly long balls, from start to finish, over and over and bloody over.

He either has to leave that zone on his own or our managers have to force him to do it.
