...which striker would you have?

In this transfer window the position we needed to improve on the most in my opinion was upfront, but as it looks like we won't be getting one now and after reading all the threads about strikers and who wants who I was curious to find out what the general consensus was as to who you would have if you could sign just one?

Benzema would be my choice

Same. I think HULK has the pace and the strength to make it in the Premier League. I doubt Porto will let him go though, not right now at least.

I really do think HULK was made for this league. Combines pace, power, strength, skill and finishing. Offers good versatility and would be avilable in the CL as far as I know.

I really like Benzema, clever player and despite not baging them in for Madrid he's still a top finisher, he wouldn't give defenders the same kind of battle Hulk would though.

Forlan is great but it comes back to the age thing.

Carroll would be a Crouch replacement and whilst obviously offering more than Crouch, I feel we'd play the same predictable football. I think with the players at the club already we should be looking at more of an all-round player up top rather than just a "target"

Don't want Fabiano, turned us down already and would just be looking for as much money as possible, we need young hungry players.

35 quid is very reasonable for Hulk.

Along with 25 quid for Gomez we could have had a quality strike force for less than the price of a van der Vaart shirt. :wink:
