Sir Alex Feguson turning on Pardew after the Manure v Newcash game. That has to be the classic put down on of all time. I'm wondering how all those Geordies are feeling now?A wee club in the north east. LOL.

Anyone else remember anything as cutting as this being said by one manager to another before?

I dont tbh but it was genius by Fergie. I burst out laughing when I heard him say it. Can totally imagine half of Newcastle taking the bait right now - textbook work Sir Alex!

Brian Clough is probably the only one who ever got one over Fergie, "For all his horses, knighthoods and championships, he hasn't got two of what I've got. And I don't mean balls". On SAF's failure to win two successive European Cups.

I think its interesting the perception of great clubs held by the great managers. You would have to have Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Manure up there based on history. SAF has talked in the past about the great matches played between these teams. Then you have the upstarts Man City and Chelsea. But Newcastle, Wham and the like have got to be lesser clubs in the pantheon.

Based on history, Forest and Leeds are ahead of us.

We have won the league twice and not for 50 years, yes we've won a few cups. But can you tell me who won the Spanish or Italian cups 10 to 20 years ago? Unfortunately it's all about the league and CL and we've not done anywhere near enough to be considered a top club. Chelsea are far more supported around the globe than us at the moment.
