In light of the possibilty of another carling cup final and an around about number of 130points apparently being needed..

..do people agree that the loyalty point scheme leaves a lot to be desired and could do with being revised..

..i say this as i try and go to as many games as im around for and student loan will stretch, but whereas i went to Udinese and got 5points..i got the same number from the likes of fulham at home, west brom away and burnley at home..yet the home games are a doddles to get to and show less 'loyalty' if you wish, than getting up at 5in the morning to go to Italy or Birmingham..

..you gettin me liiiiiiike?:-|

I agree. I got one point last year for going up to United away in the cup last season. I mean that's showing loyalty going to a match where you know full well we will roll over and get are rear end spanked which has happened nearly everytime since 1990.

I have no way enough points to go to Wembley, which leaves me having to use other means to get in there!

130 is extremely optimistic I'd say but I have some sympathy with what you're saying. I go to quite a lot of European games too as I live in Bristol and some of them - for example Krakow - don't cost that much more than going to a home game. Clearly it's waited against the chance they have of selling all the tickets though and the club use the loyalty points as a carrot to sell out games that perhaps wouldn't normally do so.

Should Look At Where The Other Tickets For Wembley Go e.g FA / Sponsers. I Show My loyalty by watching us at least 10 times home/away every season , yet i know someone who never watchin and had tickets for last years final and already knows he's got some for this year when we get there.

To me thats more unfair that the loyalty point setup ???

I've got sommin like 100 and will be incredibly pissed off if I don't get a ticket for this one, when I missed the last one...

I went to Wembley once for a gig and said after "wouldn't it be great if Spurs played here, I'd love it" then we got there but I couldn't get a damn ticket!!

They should make loyalty point cut off as 60 for those who weren't there last year and then for those who did go higher like 150.

its not perfect, indeed there are some appalling problems with it, such as some1 downgrading from a season ticket losing every loyalty point, which I still cant get my head around the reasoning for (there isnt any) but its better than a lottery and generally speaking does reward ppl who make an effort, more so when its for unattractive games!

Not that im all that bothered!

Do you not need a season ticket and/or a high amount of loyalty points to get to an away European game, though?

I had enough points to get a ticket for last year's final, and if we make it again this season I'll probably have enough again... However, I really want to go to a European away game, but unless we draw a team with a massive stadium I've got very little chance because I can't afford or justify a season ticket and don't have nearly 300 loyalty points...

You should get extra points for distance travelled, I'd have well enough points then. I get quite a few points from doing the North West away games to be honest. I only became a member last season though, used to just get my tickets when they went on general sale or just get tickets in the home end of away games. Be a good few years before I qualify through loyalty points

That's not true at all. I got in at both Krakow this season and Slavia Prague last with around 100 points. My friend had 0 points and he got a Prague ticket :)

I missed out by 5 points last year. I now have 168 points and I'm still not confident of getting a ticket. I reckon it will be more in the 180 and 190 points mark. I guess it depends on how many times people have gone to watch us in a year.

so am i guessing a season ticket holder who wants a ticket will get one...then members with over god knows how many loyalty points?

are there ppl that have been members for years? without losing there points when switching to season ticket?

Season ticket holders are guarenteed tickets if they want them (one per season ticket), then there is a loyalty point cut off which is predicted to be around 150..

Will the loyalty point cut off be lower if we play Derby than Man U in the final?

Yeah, me! I kept my membership going the same year as I got my season ticket for the first time (as it wasn't guaranteed I was going to get it), the end of which we then went onto the one Hotspur scheme and they transferred over all my membership and season ticket points, which was a result.

Only problem is that the guy I go to games with didn't do the same, so whenever we apply for away tickets he's miles behind me and as we cannot pool them anymore we sometimes have to use other people's memberships just in case, which makes the problem even worse.
