Yeah, me! I kept my membership going the same year as I got my season ticket for the first time (as it wasn't guaranteed I was going to get it), the end of which we then went onto the one Hotspur scheme and they transferred over all my membership and season ticket points, which was a result.

Only problem is that the guy I go to games with didn't do the same, so whenever we apply for away tickets he's miles behind me and as we cannot pool them anymore we sometimes have to use other people's memberships just in case, which makes the problem even worse.

ah cunning baldrick....so if/when i ever get onto the waiting list..for an extra £50 a week, i can keep my membership going and that'll entitle me to an extra ticket for away games etc?

As far as I know, I was just extremely lucky in terms of timing, with the switch over to one hotspur and all that, so I think the answer is no - you will go from Lilywhite / Bronze one hotspur to silver/gold one hotspur, but the points you have accumulated during your lilywhite / bronze membership should get transferred over.

You may (and it is only a may) be able to have a separate one hotspur lilywhite / bronze one hotspur membership, but this would be like a separate account and you'll start from zero.

That's what I think happens, but maybe check on the one hotspur section of the official site to see if they have something on it, else ping them an email and ask.

I hate living in Ireland, and on top of that being a student doesnt help my cause either. I dont get to go to near enough games. Less than ten a season if im lucky. Pain in the ass. :bang: :bang:

Agreed , I was looking to go to ManU away - 1 loyalty point?? Considering the cost /time of going up there this seems a bit crap

The loyalty points system is fucked. Watford is the prime example. 5 loyalty points for a game where the cut off point was like 300? All it means is that those with enough points are going to get further and further from the rest.

At least they got rid of that shithouse idea where the points are calculated by average of the group. So, in effect, someone with 100 loyalty points could go Arsenal away if he applied with someone who had like 400.

I'm not a member do have any chance of getting a ticket? (or 2?)

Yes

From a tout
Win a competition
You know someone with club wembley membership / corporate box who won't be going
Ask someone who is a member with lots of points but won't be going

Otherwise, assuming of course we get to the final (and that's what you're talking about!), I'd say no chance.

Martin Jol's nephew (Robert?) runs a company called Final Futures - it's like trading cup final tickets on the stock market (or something) - it's a bit of a gamble but pays off if we get to a final.

The loyalty point scheme isn't perfect but you do need some way of deciding qualifies to get a ticket. Perhaps a better way of determining cup final tickets is to make them available to people who've seen a certain number of games in that competition? I.e. ST holders and then people who've been to 3 home CC cup games etc. As an ST holder I think ST's should always get them (included in the cost of the ST!)

It is a bit of a joke for some of ten games. My mate went to Fulham at home on boxing day and got 5 points. I'm going to Bolton away at the end of the month and get 3

the points you have accumulated during your lilywhite / bronze membership should get transferred over.

.

if thats the case theyve changed it since i got my st and I change my opinion on the system. Yours may have slipped through during the switchover to one hotspur from the old scheme and fair enough to you but the concept is out of order.

A standard member can accumulate a shed load of points in a season, way back when i built up about 70+ in one, where a season ticket holder would potentially get 25/30 going to more games. That was the reasoning behind not transferring points from membership to st when i did it, the case put to me was a season ticket renewal generates 20 points for the whole season, a member can go to 5 games and get 25.
As i said, they didnt used to trasfer them as standard and if they do now I and many others will not be impressed!
