Hopefully dele playing with two injuries and Kanes broken schnoz are enough to earn both a rest from England commitments?

Not sure who the Belgians are playing but Toby's indestructible and Moussa gets rotated by their head coach.

Expect a call up for Dier, but only so he can do Vardy in training... then let Woy try Drinkwater instead.

Like I said, I don't believe a word of it, he doesn't want them going on internationals and rightly so, stupid time to have them at such an important part of the season.

There may be an element of that, but his performance on Saturday suggests to me he is not 100% fit.

Vertonghen and Clinton both running again.
The latter likely to be available for Bournemouth whilst Jan after the internationals.

Good timing, need them both now. Extra option in attack and tighten up the defence even though Wimmer has done well

There is legitimate concern about fitness heading into the 'business end' of the season. Certain players - Toby, Dier, Eriksen, Alli and Kane are at risk of burn out after playing the vast majority of games whilst Dembele needs to be managed carefully though this period and is perhaps crucial to our success.

I'd be inclined to fear that our lofty aspirations would be severely hampered should we lose Kane for any amount of time but take a deal of comfort generally with the quality at our disposal.

We appear to be rotating full backs sensibly and effectively. Rose, Walker, Davies and Trippier have their shortcomings but have all stepped up this year and are pivotal to how Poch sets the side up. The sheer amount of ground they are required to cover in both defence and attack warrants rotation.

At CB, the return of Jan in the next few weeks is immense. Wimmer has been superb (arguably better than Jan at this age) but the two Belgians at the back will be a huge boost. Poch may well decide to give Toby a break too.

Dier appears exhausted and is starting to make a few mistakes (understandable considering the amount of games he has played and age). Bentaleb's uncharacteristically sloppy performances this season doesn't inspire too much confidence but should Eric be suspended for a few games (needs one more yellow in next two games) then I hope Nabil can reproduce his stunning form from last year. Mason and Carroll are very different players that can fill the gap but likely meaning Dembele drops deeper.

Eriksen, Alli, Chadli, Lamela, Son, Njie, Onomah will vie for the 3 spots behind Kane and should be rotated sensibly during the 9 - 16 games. Whether intuition or blind faith, i do have this sense that Son will step up another level of the next few months.

Personally, I would like to see Dier rested for Villa and Bournemouth, I don't think we tactically need him for those games and would hate to play Man Utd and Liverpool without him.

Yeah think that's a very good shout. Play him in both legs against Dortmund obviously and then he can come back in at Anfield.

Dembele/Carrol/Mason/Bentaleb/Alli is plenty of options to pick from for Villa and Bournemouth.

Agree, but if he gets booked at Anfield he'll miss the Utd and Stoke games.

Should have been told to get a tactical booking against West Ham imo.

Danny Rose's brother just confirmed on Spurred on that he is fit and should be ready for the Villa game.
