Can I throw Doug Livermore ( I thinks that his name, the lad that scored against Barcelona)into the mix as well ? I think he is on loan at Derby ... Any thoughts?

It's Jake Livermore and he's at Peterborough United and not at Derby.

Surely If Arry was thinking about playing Luca centrally He'd have switched him during the Everton game

The thought of playing YK there scares the shite out of me, he's a half decent Central defender at present, nothing more

If we end up playing Kaboul or even Bostock in CM for the last 13 games of a season in which we're trying to finish 4th and win an F.A Cup then we may as well take our summer holidays now.

Quite frankly If we cannot recall O'Hara and neither JJ or Thudd are available for the run in then our management needs shooting

Out of all the availible players to perform what is largely a sitting midfielders role given how Palacios harries forward, I'd choose Corluka. The basis is that he's already done this to high standard for Citeh, which is something none of our other players have as far as I know.

To replace him at RB - Kaboul. The basis for this is that he's already performed this role to a very high standard, by very many accounts of Pompey fans I've read.

So no need to throw anybody into a situation we don't already know they can cope with:

Gomes
Kaboom Doors SeaBass Monkey
Kranker Charlie Sarge Modders
Pav JD

Actually a very decent shout about Charlie although I was at Wolves and Kaboul aint no right back, not for a decent side anyway

Bostock is cup-tied for the next match anyway, so it won't be him. Personally I'd play Modric alongside Wilson, and move Bale to LM.

Well I'm not going to try and dissuade you from what you saw with your own eyes, and have no doubt that Kaboul's Wolves performance at RB was every bit as reprehensible as you say. But equally I can't forget reading those 25 or so glowing reports about YK at RB from Pompey fans - I googled them just after the window shut whilst everybody was in that no-RB-cover panic.

Glad there's more favour for Corluka at DM.

It does leave us potentially short for Fulham, especially with Kaboul and Walker also unavailable. If nobody comes back that gives us:

Gomes

Corluka Dawson King Bale

Rose Palacios Modric Kranjcar

Pavlyuchenko Defoe

Subs: Alnwick, Assou-Ekotto, Dervite, Bassong, Parrett, Gudjohnsen, Crouch

If King is injured, Bassong into the team and M'Poku onto the bench.

Kaboul suffered because he didnt have a leader next to him. Wilson and Tom arent great talkers but they have played lots of games together so have an understanding - Younes is new and you could see they didnt really know what each other were meant to do, where they were meant to be, and it left us exposed, even with Eidur dropping deeper. Arteta had far too much time on the ball in that second half.

However, with a bit of work on the training pitch, I'm sure Kaboul could do a job, but I want to know how long Tom is out for. His range of passing gets us going (see first goal today) and there is no one at the club who can replicate that.

While chucking in a kid might be a bit extreme, I would at least like to see a proper CM on the bench

I'd be perfectly happy to play parrett or Bostock, Rodwell is a fine example of how youngsters can come on leaps and bounds if you give them their chance

If the injury reports are right I would line us up:

___________Gomes____________

Charlie___Dawson__Bassong__BAE

Kranjcar__Modric_Palacios___Bale

______Pav_______Defoe_______

If Wilson picks up a booking.... I dunno we are screwed.
