Antonio Conte has held talks with Tottenham chief Daniel Levy to discuss the summer transfer window. The Italian boss wants to shape his squad around older and experienced players but will have to convince Levy to part ways with his vision for Spurs' transfer policy. Conte has also apparently decided to part ways with eight first-team players this summer.

Charlie Eccleshire writes in The Athletic that Steven Bergwijn is now almost certain to leave the club in the offseason for regular first team football with Spurs not standing in his way. Over in the Standard, Dan Kilpatrick includes Stevie in a list of six Spurs players that could potentially leave, along with Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez, Emerson Royal, Sergio Reguilon, and Joe Rodon. Other reports have suggested the club could also listen to offers for Matt Doherty, who is currently out for the season.

Likely that Winks will want to secure more first team football, so i wouldn't be surprised tp see him leave.

I would guess Winks, Rodon and Moura. Perhaps also Sanchez for the right price.

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up selling one of Moura / Bergwijn and one of Rodon / Sanchez. We really need to offload all three surplus CMs though!

AFAIAA up until his move to us Gil had solely been used on the left (and still is by all accounts at Valencia)

Eh? Kulusevski has largely played on our right, teaming up will with Doherty before Aston Villa assaulted him.

Bryan has openly stated that his preferred position is on the left.

We NEED alternatives/options. Saying someone plays the same position is what we have to move away from with our mentality.

Competition for positions will separate the men from the boys. They'll sink, or they'll swim. They'll either elevate their levels beyond what we know, or they'll be farmed out & replaced by someone who's actually up for a challenge.
