Woke up a bit groggy after only about four hours sleep, now have another beer in my hand. Alcohol ban, what alcohol ban?

Definiite and noticeable increase in the number of yids around, should be a cracking day

You can sleep when you're dead, son. Sort yourself out. :slap:

Shelfers, that is brilliant!

We were originally going to fly to Geneva and drive from there, but there were too many things hindering that plan.

Not wishing to be the bearer of bad news but there is an air traffic controllers strike this week in France - starts tonight, main effect is tomorrow but will cause disruption until Friday.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Shelfside, but I'd check with your carrier if I were you.

Fingers crossed for you - but whatever happens I'm sure you'll have a ball.

I made it! My first plane was delayed by an hour and I dreaded the worst but fortunately AirFrance held the connecting flight for us!

The sleep in Linate Airport for 10 hours was painful, but worth it thanks to Gareth Bale.

Congrats SS18! Glad you made it and got to be part of such a marvellous experience. Shame we didn't win, but I'll never forget it for a number of positive reasons.

I got caught up in the strike, as had to fly to Paris yesterday morning for a work meeting, flight was delayed by an hour and a half and I ended up turning up half an hour late.

Fucking French tossers - it was hard enough waking up to catch the flight, let alone having to stay awake whilst waiting for the plane. Still, at least I was in business class.

Anyway, Inter away was right up there with the best away trips ever.

We drunk the bar in Duomo out of beer on Wednesday :beer:They'd only brought in 1,800 litres, which was never going to be enough.

So many laughs, so many stories, so many memories but as they say what goes on tour stays on tour, so those of you I met with are safe (mainly as the stories would incriminate me )

Wicked trip to Milan. Got back to Luton at about 8pm yesterday.

Gotta say that all the Spurs fans were amazing at the San Siro.
Proper showed em how to sing... even got respect from some of the inter fans as at 3-0 down when the rendition of "spur go marching in" started up a good few of em started clapping us.

What a game of 2 halves though.... after 15 minutes it looked like we were gonna get beat by a cricket score but the second half was a totally different kettle of fish. Our 10 men playing fore pride came out and gave em a good game and Bale?.... well what can we say?? Different class altogether.

I personally believe we'll have a very good game against them when they come to the Lane! Very good chance of getting a result. COYS

Got back yesterday afternoon. What a fantastic trip! Sat in the tier below the Yids and was surrounded by fellow Yids so the singing and dancing was awesome! Glad to see it all seemed to pass without any bother and very VERY proud to be Spurs after that comeback!

Wonderful trip, thoroughly depressed to be back at work today in cold London. Duomo was magnificent, an absolutely beautiful structure, and the match itself, well what an experience. I've never felt so good after a defeat. I'll never, ever forget the train afterwards, rammed with Spurs fans, not being allowed to leave Lotto until it was absolutely packed with every last person, and everybody singing 'oh when the spurs', 'he was born to play for spurs' and 'Champions League and we're having a laugh'. This was truly special.

That was the best trip ever. The singing in Duomo Plaza before the game was absolutely brilliant.

As others have attested, it was a wonderful trip.

The balmy Milan weather; the good-natured banter with the locals around the city centre; the Italian food; the magnificent San Siro; the great atmosphere; the absence of any crowd trouble; Gareth Bale; and the marvellous Spurs support all combined to make it a memorable trip. To witness the panic in the Inter ranks after the third goal with the likes of Sneijder hoofing the ball anywhere to run down the clock was something to behold.

The (minor) down sides were the result; our woeful defending; getting out of the San Siro (it took over half an hour after they opened the gates); and the chaos at Milan airport where they only allowed one coach at a time to disgorge their passengers.

As I live in Kent, I stayed at the Radisson at Stansted on Tuesday and Wednesday night. I had arranged a 5am call on Wednesday morning to get up in time to catch the flight. Remembering my experience from the Bremen trip, I stipulated that I did not want a wake-up call on Thursday. Due to the various delays, our flight did not arrive back at Stansted until 3am. As I was due to have a contract interview at midday, I asked for a call at 8:30. I finally got to sleep around 4am only to be woken at 5am. I then got follow up calls at 5:10 and 5:20!!! I was half asleep when I finally got to the interview.

phil, on the downside you didn't mention the queue for the 4 holes in the ground that they called the toilet.

True, the San Siro is a triumph of style over practicality. Wouldn't have missed the trip for the world.

Amazing from start to finish. One amusing thing I didn't quite understand though was the police escorted bus from Lotto before the match. Did they just assume that everyone who took the metro was a yid?

Ha ha... yeah must've. Were'nt expecting the transfer over but it got us to the right entrance. The journey on the bus was a laugh though, the driver did'nt give a crap and was siging down the mike having a laugh with everyone else. Apparently he was a Napoli supporter so was basicallt F*** Inter lol
