Is Connor Wickham the answer?

I'd like another young player like him for the future. I would loan him back out though in the immediate future. Wickham and Kane could make for a great future partnership up front for us. But Wickham doesn't deserve to jump into the squad ahead of Kane atm.

I think we should go with 3 strikers plus VDV next season. I'd replace Crouch and Pav in the summer. I dont think someone young and unproven would make for a good number 3 striker though. If we picked up a couple of injuries it would put a lot of pressure on young shoulders.

A new strike force made up of the youth of Wickham and Bojan with Crouchie the experienced back-up sounds good to me.

At the moment he is playing left midfield so his goalscoring record isn't solely for a striker.

A few of my friends who support Championship sides are really impressed with him but don't think he is good enough for a top six Prem club right now or able to head a strikeforce single-handedly.

I'd happliy see us sell all four of our strikers this summer plus a few midfielders like O'Hara and Dos Santos and 'retire' Woodgate and King.

With VDV and Krancjar as options to play behind and two other strikers able to play to the right level straight-away I'd be happy with Wickham as understudy.

Rather than spend that amount of money on potential I would rather spend it on a player proven at the top level and try and bring on one of our younsters. Maybe Harry Kane?

He's in a similar position in terms of 'achievement' and 'potential' to that Welsh lad we signed a few years ago. You know the one; got injured for a while, turned out to be all right. Had that spell where the team couldn't win with him in... oh, it'll come to me... had a decent left peg on him... no, it's gone.

He is one for the future as was Gareth Bale when we bought him.

Ah, that's his name. I knew it was something to do with hay.

I guess signing some more players like him would be okay.

I agree with the people saying to wait. Whats the point of getting him now for £10-15 mil when we can wait til the last day of the January transfer window in 2015 and offer £35 mil for him in the last minute.

VDV, Crouch and a new experienced international top striker.
With Wickham and Kane as back up and development projects.
Like it, though I bet we'll still have Defoe as well.
