I'm not laying the blame for our defeat, today, at Dawson's feet. In fact, he didn't have a bad game, for his recent standards. However, I still adhere to my opinions expressed in the thread entitled Dawson - what's going on???!!

We've been shit with him and shit without him, so it's hardly fair to lay the blame squarely at him...

If he is up against anyone with pace or mobility he is exposed.

I think he is suffering from the constant rotation and filling in for Ledley. Dawson works best when the team is tight and narrow, when he has to win balls in the air or can commit himself to getting tight and putting in a challenge. However, at the more we are not a unit at all, and if Daws gets turned the other defenders are too far away to cover him. This leads to him dropping off, like he did with Defoe for their second goal today.

Thing is, if we, as a team, make it harder for the opposition to play the ball to their strikers, then I think Dawson (and any other centre back) will look infinitely better. But at the moment the midfield is not pressuring the ball nor helping out the defenders.

The only reason i commented here is because this guy privately told me to support another club and then basically told me i was stupid which i think is a bit cowardly to be honest. So i wondered what he'd contributed to this site and this was the very first post i saw.

The date is totally irrelevant. It's completey hypocritical, unless 2 years ago you thought Dawson was a liablity i guess which i personally don't.

The other guy who told me to support another club from what i can tell is some kind of crusader against anybody who has any opinions that could be objective of anyone that plays for us. I don't like the kneejerk responses myself or these so-called Spurs fans that slate everybody from one week to the next.

Am i being petty? Yes. But i don't like people telling me to support another club when i've been a Spurs fan for nearly 30 years. That fucking pisses me off i'm afraid.

|I'm also in a very fucking pissy don't fuck with me kind of mood

Key player who captained us for a large part of the season and was vital to us getting into CL? And I'm the stupid one . Don't forget to pick up a Man City shirt next time you go out, this sort of support is what is more commonly seen on bluemoon.

Yes he was. Dawson has only come good in the past 18 months and he won't ever be great cos he's slow, likes the long ball even when not under pressure, and makes lunging tackles upfield instead of staying on his feet. but he is a leader and plays heart on sleave so you have to admire that.

I disagree. But that's your opinion.

Our defence was a bit of a mess back then and we didn't have much to protect it in our midfield either. There are lots of factors that can play a part, Dawsons form for example as i don't seem to remember him being shit all the way up until the last 18 months at all that's rubbish. Also King was completely fucked and barely played a match either around that time. Not that he does now mind you but he was out for bloody ages if i remember right.
