Is Harry still nailed on for the England job?

It's not really been happening for us in the big matches this season, do you think the FA might be drawing up a slightly longer shortlist now?

I can't help but wonder if it's already 'a done deal' and consequently he hasn't had his full focus on Spurs the last few weeks, contributing (in some way) to our recent suckness.

Fergie eluded to it too (in his usual psychological warfare manner), but I wonder if there is some truth in it being transferred to the players too.

He has to make a decision asap, it's hanging over us and effecting the players.

If he does manage England, will he play his best player isolated on the left wing, then They are welcome to him.

2 of our toughest games this season and all of a sudden Redknapp isn't going to be wanted.

Yes, you are definitely right.

No. The FA aren't as fickle as the average football fan.

I'm not sure about that. I think the FA would like the excuse to not appoint him given half the chance. I would be happy if they did pass on him and we got to keep him.

I mean Man CIty x2 Arsenal x2 Liverpool x2 Chelsea x1 and Man Utd x2 = 8 points out of 27.

Or maybe the fact that he took us from the bottom 3 to title challengers. To suggest they might not want him is ludicrous.

I didn't say they didn't want him but maybe they will be looking a other options also. If Jose says he is interested in the job do you think the FA would say ''sorry Jose, we've already decided on Harry''.

But you made this thread in light of the game, suggesting that our recent run of games has changed whether they would want Harry or not. (or that's how I perceived it anyway)

Of course they're going to want Mourinho if he is interested.

I was thinking about this yesterday, if England appoint Harry they are stupid. I believe the best man for the job is Roy Hodgson. Hodgson has international experience, tactical soundness and knows how to work with limited resources which I think being England manager is about. Harry strikes me as being idealistic and a bit of a dreamer. If Harry got the job the first few results would be ok but then the honteymoon and euphoria would evaporate.

Yep and he should go.

If I wasn't too pissed off still, I would give reasons too, but it is not because I donlt think he is a bad manager.
