Is it forgive and forget for Ghaly?

As we all probably all know by now, Ghaly, along with Taarabt, Salty, Rocha and KPB have all been re-assigned squad-numbers. To me, this means that they're in Harry's first-team plans untill at least January. Now, I think it was inevitable when we failed to sell him in the summer transfer window that Ghaly would at some point make his way back in to the first team as a squad player, and make one or two cameo's, or possibly even starts before the January window.

So, what's the general reaction from the fans going to be towards him? Surely everyone knows we need real squad players like him if we want to make it anywhere, but I fear many will be reluctant to shrug off what happened 18 months ago, and still hold a grudge against him.

What are your thoughts on him, and the role he could play this season. Would you be happy to see him back in a Spurs shirt? Thoughts, people.

As long as he puts 100% in when he does get selected I for sure have no problem with him, whats done is done, we have to move forward.

It's not rocket science. You have players that can help and have been disenfranchised by the oddities of the previous manager. Give a shot and most likely they will put in 200%. It's a good move.

Yes. He's not ideal because he's not the best, but he's what we are lacking. If he's does the spoilt brat act Harry, of all people, will probbaly slap him into line.

That quote goes for 3 out of the 5 players. Boateng and Taarabt could still do with some work...

There's another way of looking at what he did.........If he didn't care about the club, he wouldn't have thrown the shirt down in the first place. Shows passion. Worth giving him a go.

If he plays for the shirt and doesn't throw it again I can forgive him, its a new start and there's a feel good factor around Tottenham now so I'm pleased Harry's got these 5 guys back in the first team setup, it was ridiculous to not give them team numbers in the first place, Stalteri has had a good few years with us over the past few years and should have been treated with more respect then that.

By all means transfer list players but never exile them from the squad when they are on the clubs payroll. I think each of the forgotten men can offer something to the squad.

Got to give the guy a chance - the whole shirt thing was blown out of all proportion anyway IMO. He should've been stuck in the academy for a fortnight and then back into the first team squad. Certainly by now he's done his time for it - new manager, clean slate.

Yes time to forget. I wouldnt give him hassel or get on his back if he plays in a spurs shirt again. As someone has already said its a new start for everyone,

Glad to see Harry's been browsing SC and saw my advice on here last night. As a Premiership squad with 22 players, of which 18 are required on matchdays, after suspensions and injuries, it makes the decision easy to bring in the ostracised players cast out by the previous regime.

In a stroke our squad strength has had a boost with players that laready know the Club and its foibles and even if they don't put on the shirt again at least they provide competiton for it and cover for when required.

As for whether they deserve to be brought back in, if Redknapp feels their return will benefit the present squad then it's good enough for me.

As long as he`s grown some more teeth. If not he will only ugly-up the team photo.

As above, I'll support him provided he puts in and doesn't chuck his toys (and strip) out of the pram). Everyone deserves a second chance.

Except Scumbell

Absolutely no reason not to let them have a chance. They're on the payroll, maybe they can be useful, maybe Harry will decide like his predecessors that they haven't got it, maybe, hopefully, with a different man-management some of them might prosper...there is some talent there.

Playing on with half a dozen teeth knocked out is, frankly, unbelievable. Gets my respect. Thats 10 pluses for the single minus of throwing the shirt.
