Na, most posters on here are too stubborn to hold their hands up and admit they were wrong so they will just look for feeble confirmations of their original snap judgement opinion in the face of all evidence and logical thinking.
Just like those who determined that Modric was a waste of money after only a couple of games and continued with their crazy opinion long after Modric was showing himself to be top draw.
Just like those who decided Harry was a mickey mouse manager only capable of success with small clubs fighting for PL survival and they continued and still do to enforce that opinion in spite of the fact he got us CL football and a 5th place with a CL quarter final.
Just like those knee jerkers after the Man U and Man City results continued to preach doom and gloom after the wolves game
I have no doubt that many of the Parker haters will continue to repeat the same opinions of him regardless of how well he continues to play for us.
Was neutral regarding his signing as I thought that his main attribute of dressing room and on-pitch leadership is balanced against his age and injury record. Glad he showed us what he is all about.
Not to defend negative opinions about Parker but the very fact that he is a non-flashy player seems to count against him amongst fans within and beyond Spurs. Spent sometime trawling other forums and found, for example, interesting comments from Pool fans who value Lucas more than Parker (Ridiculous but this is the type of mentality you find). Parker is a quietly effective player and the only thing I worry about is his injuries and that is purely because of the wholehearted challenges he makes that puts him at risk of an injury.
Guess what I am trying to say is that I believe majority fans will come around eventually if he keeps performing as he is doing now but unfortunately, patience is a rare trait amongst Spurs fans. Couple that with an obsession for flashy players in favour over effective ones, hence the overall negativity regarding Parker and his supposed limited ability. Walker is another case in point where I hope we can give him time and support to grow.
I am one who thinks Harry has reached the limit of his managerial ability especially after the Manc match but I am always happy to be proven wrong. More games like this and every fan will be happy to eat humble pies.
