Jan is too slow to compete with good wingers on the wing. It is also ridiculous to play him out of his best position. Playing him there will only frustrate him as he will get burned by pace, and have wanted nothing to do with it.

Agreed. Jan is no less dodgy at fullback than Rose. Looks good goin forward but gets horribly exposed.

How can it possibly be our best team? Two haven't played yet, and one has about fifteen minutes! How can we assess if it is our best or not?

It may be the best on paper, but as we are always told, football isn't played on paper.

I will keep banging this drum until people realise you can't judge a team on random youtube clips of the past.

I'd go with that, or shift Eriksen to the left and bring holtby into 10.

It won't happen but I'd love to see us go 3 at the back with wing backs or touchline hugging midfielders once in a while.
