Breaking News: Levy to "splash out" on Vertonghen cover.

" Ledley, it's Daniel Levy. You can come and use my pool again if you want....."

Wimmer has everything in his locker.

Enjoyed seeing him and Toby playing pinpoint diagonals in the first Leicester game.

Not worried really, excited to see more Wimmer.

Medial ligament injury for De Bruyne too, according to Pellegrini.

Looked bad apparently.

Honestly i'd love that Arnold Rimmer song to to take off around the lane...:singing:

It's not my fault i love Red Dwarf :bag:

Hope Jan not gone for too long though, as much as i'm sure Vimmer is capable, i'm not sure people realise just how much Jan tidies up after Rose, i think i'd play Davies rather Rose whilst Jan is out TBH

Can we sign Jetro Willems in the summer please?

Reliable Belgian journo - doesn't bullshit from what I have seen..Both are updates from the past 24 hours.

On Vertonghen
HLNinEngland: they hope to have him back after 5-6 weeks

On De Bruyne
HLNinEngland: So Kevin De Bruyne will be out for 10 weeks

Optimistically back for Arsenal but if he can be getting up to speed for the crucial month of April then i'll take that.

5-6 weeks from now or the injury? If it's from the injury, that brings us to Swansea or West Ham. Would be great to have him back for Swansea. Get him a sub appearance against them and maybe another one vs West Ham and back into the XI for Arsenal.

If that's accurate he'll miss the two derbies, which is a real shame. But if he's back around mid march that will give him a few weeks to get match fit before we head up to Anfield early April.

Could of been worse I guess.

His injury really is a kick in the nuts.

Are we still doing that blood spinning thing? Get him along to that doctor ASAP

He will have to displace Summer. Who may take some shifting. May the best man win. It's the team that benefits from this competition. The same could be said of any player in any position. If this makes Verts a still better defender, so be it.

Wickham should be banned for as long as Jan is out injured. If it happened in a tackle then fair enough, but that was an assault and should be punished accordingly.

Pochettino today:

"I will promote Cameron Carter-Vickers rather than trying to sign CB cover this month.
He is still young but he has enough quality & he is training with us from the beginning of the season and playing for the U21s. It's a good opportunity to stay with us now more consistently. I don't expect to cover Jan Vertonghen"
