Considering what we have at current with Harry Kane as our undoubted #1 striker, I'd prefer to go with someone like Wissam Ben Yedder as opposed to Islam Slimani. I also think Ben Yedder could be a lot cheaper of an option.

Kane might be tall, but he's not quite a target man at all. I think Slimani plays a different game from Kane.

No thanks. If this is the best our scouts can come up with then we need new scouts.

£15m should be put towards quality players like Depay not below par players like Slimani.

Shocked at this to be fair and it's deeply worrying.

You'll be thanking your lucky stars that it's written by a random Portuguese newspaper, who are quoting the Sunday Times, who had an article written by Duncan Castles about Slimani, and Castles happens to know fuck all.

Gives some the opportunity though to have a dig at the club.

Who knows, maybe Soldado and Adebayor are both on their way out.

I don't think you can really fault that at this point. Adebayor seems like a given at this point. And, Soldado, after this past week, has to be at just about the end of his rope in terms of Pochettino actually being able to trust him for any important matches.

I'd personally like to see an out-and-out striker and a WF/Striker option brought in. Primarily because I think we need more depth across the attacking midfield 3 but still give the players the minutes they need to actually maintain some form.

Spot on, have said the same myself and i think it was definitely the plan regards Jay Rod until his prolonged injury.
Its very very rare, no matter how many times i see it spouted in here that a player can play both roles successfully, Rodriquez in that respect is quite a niche footballer.
