I dont know why he doesn't just say what he means.

If we're going to lose Berba getting a player of Carricks quality would be some compensation, I would prefer him to move abroard though.

and then someone posted:

"I know a little bit of nothing

I have been reliably informed that Berbatov will stay until 2009 at the earliest and that Sir Alex is looking very closely at Huntelaar although his lack of pace is a concern."

Then:

"not prepared to say noodles, wouldn't do me any favours.

I would guess that you may be right, in fact I fear you may be right, that if Huntelaar is not the one then Berbs might be."

Noodles response...

"all clubs/ agents are wheeling and dealing as we speak preparing for next season you clearly know this ..Manure did their business exactly when last year ? ... i reiterate i was not told this from the source personally and i would'nt bet with your money on it coming off ... i posted it because it sounded feasible and the guy who told me knows the source very well. I really don't think Fergie would get rid of Carrick, I think he rates him very highly.

Yeah Fergie loves Carrick and who wouldn't

I am not sure Carrick would want to leave them either.

As always, the word swap means the story is dubious at best. They just don't happen.

Not sure Carrick would come back. He loves playing the champions league.

The "crown jewels" could be King you know. Just a thought. Not that I believe these so called ITKS, but a bit of fun none the less.

There's no truth in this.

Man U are speaking to Henry. RvN is going to Chelsea to replace Drogba. No foreign club who can afford him wants Berbatov that much so he's definitely staying.

Carrick seems to be there number one central midfielder at the moment. It's usually between Anderson and Hargreaves as to who is playing alongside Carrick and Scholes.

I'd be very surprized if this was true. Carrick has been picked ahead of Hargreaves a lot recently, and Ferguson increasingly seems to see him as an integral part of Manure's team. And, as others have said, I can't see Carrick wanting to leave - especially since we won't be in the CL.

However, thanks to the Glazers' ridiculous amount of debt, I'm pretty sure Manure could not afford to match our valuation of Berba in cash - so any deal would have to include players with big money valuations (ie not Bosmans like Brown).

The 27-year-old, who has been prolific for club and country this term, has confirmed to Goal.com that he would be interested in hearing any possible discussions with the Rossoneri.

He said: "If any conversations with AC Milan start, I will be flattered. My head will boil again in the summer from the transfer speculation. I know the price (Tottenham want), but I won't tell you."

Milan may tempt Spurs into selling with a cash-plus-player offer, it has been reported that Dario Simic would be part of the deal.

uh oh.

I would mush prefer Berba to leave abroad, but if berba 'does' go to Manure then maybe Tevez will be available? bit ambitious though!
but manu having berba, rooney, tevez, ronaldo and saha. will tevez get that many games.
hoh and just to make it clear, Saha is a definate NO...

If friend Berbati is correct, Berbatov's motivation is CL football, not filthy lucre; the way Milan are playing at the moment they'll be pushed to qualify for the UEFA Cup, let alone the CL.

From the players you listed they would be glad to get rid of Saha, he's never fit so they'd be missing nothing.

Whilst Carrick is good, he's not going to propel us to the top four i dont think. In his last season at us he only got 9 assists which isnt that great for a set piece taker as well as a playmaker. Granted, he would be better than what we have and we have missed someone to pick the ball up from the defence and distribute (Lennon's game being a classic example) but he's still not got the quality that we will need to become big players again-we must look abroad, preferably to Spain for a player of that ilk.

Think this is bollocks to be honest.

Can't see Carrick wanting to come back either, not after the way his improved contract request was (allegedly) handled.

agreed.

i also think it's a bit ridiculous to say that fergie is looking at huntelaar but is concerned by his lack of pace. berba is not exactly blessed with speed is he
