As is SC.

completely, utterly, totally correct :hump:

They cant monitor it that closely. Unless they hire someone to do purely that, which would be a pretty cushdy job. If you're reading this THFC staff, PM me for a copy of my CV!

they do very closely, just send cv via normal channels or apply through job section  or go in the easy way via stewarding and work your way up - simple when you know how

I doubt it's a full time job but apart from keep an eye on ITK's a company should always know its customer. Look how quickly the Berba photo was added to the training pic yesterday.

 leaving every fan on tenter hooks for an hour was a cheap bit of fun

In actual fact I believe Daniel Levy wrote an e-mail to Rob asking to remove me from the banned list as he thought I was such a good poster and yiddo.

I'd be a bit disappointted if they didnt check out the boards. Its the easiest way to gauge fan reaction and mood in general and on specific terms, without making their presence known.

Isn't Donna Cullen Head of the Press & Publicity Dept at WHL? I would hazard a guess that she or members of her team are responsible for monitoring the forums and press and reporting anything of significance to DL. It would be Donna's job to draft any press release or info for the official website and then have it approved and signed off by DL before it goes public. I doubt any of us know for sure (or can prove) that Donna or one of her underlings isn't a registered member on here or any other Spurs board. Like Krafty, I think I'd be disappointed if they wasn't.

2 things about this "who from the club moniters the message boards" debate...

Dougal, if, in fact, you are Robbie Keane, are you off to Scouse land?

2ndly... Id say they have been monitoring for a long time. So, someone with a long history and short post count would come to mind.

its not me by the way, I sell software for a living!

Just come back from the pub to see my post turn into a thread!

It's like it's grown.

Will the next step be that it develops a conscience?

And the step after that, David Cronenberg making it into a movie?

Where i work in child protection (to a certain extent), we used to employ a company called Durrants or something, who would send us a massive envelope every couple of days containing hundreds of pages of clippings from newspapers, websites, news report transcripts and stuff, that contained particular words that we specified. Used to get a lot of old crap but i would imagine they worked in a similar fashion to Newsnow or something, scouring the intahweb for particular words in particular places.

I would also guess, along with this kind of trawlering, they keep a specific eye on the main forums (Here, COYS, FTL, etc), making regular use of the search facility (even if it does suck monkey balls) - Rob could easily tell when they've visited if he wanted to, i expect, but not really important when they visit, or what they look at, just that they do.

I doubt that Ramos or anyone like that does, just gets told what "the buzz" is amongst the fans at the relevant meetings, but it's the two DC's who would be most interested in it, i think (Donna Cullen and Damien Comolli)

I'd imagine the players with myspace or facebook accounts would be extremely tempted to have a look on the forums. Hudd and Lennon possibly?

Thing is, you never hear players saying they use the internet in interviews - they're probably instructed not to.
