If the reports are true (and sometimes they are) about the Berbs and Keano both going, then i feel betrayed and dissapointed:bang:, we keep saying were trying to go for the top four. If this were the case then why oh why would we disband our best strike force for years?:duh: We have made a few good signings in recent weeks but the players aren`t Premiership tested so why sell the 2 proven players that score the goals for us? I for one would rather see Berbs and Keano playing week in week out than Ronaldinho and Eto. My point is yes there are good players out there but i would rather the devil you know......................

Hang on. If the reports are to be believed, Berbatov and Keano want to go elsewhere. It's not that we are throwing them out or "disbanding' them! If the reports are true, these people want out!

Yep.

What makes you think we want to get rid of Keano and Berba?

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club won't die if we lose Berba and Keane for 45-50 million pounds. I'm confident we'll be at least top 6 with or without them and will sign more than good enough replacements all over the park for that amount of money.

And anyway, I seriously doubt both of them will leave.

This is depressing to say the least. I thought the close season was the time of the year we could enjoy and be optimistic.

Never ever ever sell you best players. NEVER.

If they want to go, tough.

Play and see out your contract.

Have faith in Ramos. Whatever happens this summer I believe Levy and Ramos will make sure we get the right players in, and if we do sell it will be for good amounts.

Would you rather Ramos had to choose a strike force he didnt truly feel was good enough or keep Berbatov and Keane at the club? (not saying Ramos doesnt rate the two, but it seems he would ratehr have 50 mill to spend)

If we got Arseshaven for Keane and Eto for Berbs then i would be optimistic of staying on the right track. If it's Milito and Pallychenko then we're never gonna finish in the top 4 this year.

I'll put my house on it.we've already proven we're more than good enough to finish 5th in recent years with most of our squad, what is the point in only aiming to finish 5th every year.

If thats all are ambition amounts to can anyone really be bothered paying £35 every week to go and watch the race for 5th every year?

Who would want to join a team that does that?. If a player wants to leave then let him leave, but get the most money you can out of it.

Why do you say that?

Have a look at the talent within Europe for a start.

Huntelaar...?

This doom and gloom does my head in.

Can you blame some of us? Our two best players have stated their desire to play for other teams.

That said, I really, really hope we sign Huntelaar, sadly, I feel we have no chance. Pavyuchenko is probably our best bet.:-|

I do not wish to pour oil on troubled waters BUT.....Can it be true (as was mentioned by that Sevilla fan recently) that Ramos is the type of manager who wants to start from scratch....Jol OUT and Ramos brings in his own team....no matter how long it takes. The downside of this theory is that we may be witnessing the dissolution of our 'lauded' 5th place side....JUST to give Ramos the chance to build upon an already excellent squad...but one that has 'passed it's sell by date'?
Whilst I sense a master manager, in our top seat, I can't but fear that we have thrown away any advantage that we may have earned during the last years of the Jol reign? 5th is no longer where we should be setting our sights....NO that is 'old hat' and clearly not acceptable for THFC, I hope anyway.
Keano and Berbatov have played a large part in our rise to where we see ourselves tonight....and I fear that we shall never get a chance to see the in a CL Spurs shirt....maybe, maybe not.....Sometimes I curse being a Yid....but, like YOU all, I can't get enough....be it GOOD or BAD! Blood. veins....well you know how it feels? Ofcourse YOU do lol. COYS!

when levy said spurs were not negotiating with manchester united or anyone else he did not mean berbatov would not be sold. he meant the price was not negotiable. 30-35 million if its manure or another top4 team because we are trying to raise ourselves to their level and selling them a top class player on the cheap is not really a great idea.
25-30 million if it's a european team because that's a realistic price for a team we are not competing with.

so by reporting manure and liverpool to the F.A levy is simply trying to make it harder for those clubs to get our players on the cheap.

and make no mistake these players will be replaced if sold. if we generate 50 million out of the pair, we may only spend 30, maximum 40 million on another two strikers, and they may well be young, and relatively unproven in the higher euro leagues but they will definitely be of high quality, we should presume.

so let's just relax and hope that berba signs a lucrative new contract or signs for a spanish team, and look forward to a new season with an extensive array of young attacking talent, all controlled by the master tactician, juande ramos.

and if berba does leave, we should be happy for him and thankful he stayed last season to try and get CL. a shame levy did not sign the right defenders, and maybe this is all his fault but, he seems to have learnt from the mistakes, and the club seems to be trying to do the right things these days..

so, worry not.
