Try pushing those wing backs up and getting Rice to sit deeper as cover almost like a third centre back. Take Phillips off and play two strikers with Kane and Rashford playing off him like a Kane/Son combo. Get Grealish and Foden to sit behind and create whilst Mount drops into centre mid to keep the ball ticking and transition.

No, but instead keep the shape that's not working all the way through. Bring on Grealish but don't play him cenrrally where he can get the ball. Take Kane off (despite playing poorly he will still score goals) and keep on Sterling who offers nothing. Give Mount fuck all discipline and direction. This Mount is a stranger compared to Tuchel's Mount. Honestly, Southgate is an idiot.

My point was that you seem to be making out that England are levels above Scotland. Fact is that they aren’t. England are bang average as a team.
They waltz through qualifying because of the dog shit, park side nations they have to face, but cannot compete when it really matters.

Apart from a world cup semi final, world rankings, and the fact Scotland rarely qualify for tournaments suggest they are levels above Scotland.
