Several national sides have picked their preliminary squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020. Looking at the players that were not picked for France national side. It's fair to say they got some massive talents at hand.

Lafont - Théo Hernández, Laporte, Upamecano, Ferland Mendy - Camavinga, Ndombélé - Fekir, Aouar, Ikoné - Martial

It's worth mentioning that Karim Benzema is back after being left out in the cold for years. Curious to see how he will affect the national side after the extortion of Valbuena

Created a poll to see which national side we think could win. Chosen the big guns and other(s) to avoid making a huge poll (Forgot about Spain..)

Group A

Italy
Switzerland
Turkey
Wales

Group B

Belgium
Denmark
Finland
Russia

Group C

Austria
Netherlands
N. Macedonia
Ukraine

Group D

Croatia
Czech Republic
England
Scotland

Group E

Poland
Slovakia
Spain
Sweden

Group F

France
Germany
Hungary
Portugal

It's mad how France has so much depth and talent at CB that they can leave Upamecano at home and "let" Laporte play for Spain when it seems all other nations really struggle to produce quality defenders these days.

Leaving two class LBs in Hernandez and Mendy at home and taking Digne strikes me as weird though.

They are huge tournament favourites for me.

Mendy is crap these days, Digne is a better LB, not sure why Hernandez wasn't picked though.

To try and generate some interest for myself I've put a few bets on the outright winners.
I always take Germany, as they've won plenty of money for me at international tournaments, and although they've been horrendous recently I still think they could do what they do and turn up for the tournament, 7-1, £5.
France are my safe choice, and 5-1 for the favourites seemed a decent price. It will cover my other stakes if they do win it, £5.
For my dark horse I've gone for Denmark at 25-1, £5 but each way so £10 total, impressive recent results and will play 3 games in Copenhagen which might give them an edge.

I considered Belgium and Italy but I'm not convinced by Martinez and as impressive as Italy have been lately I don't entirely trust them to turn up and score enough goals for this one.

Anyone else put a few quid on anyone?

I am really excited for it mainly because I've failed to get enjoyment out of football since December. I need something to look forward to.

But I'm not looking forward to commentators talking about Kane every 3 minutes. I imagine they will find a way in every game to get a reference to Kane wanting out, even North Macedonia Vs Ukraine.

Young Musiala in the Germany squad. Never rule out the Germans but this squad really doesn't look close to France's in overall quality.

Mad how Germany have like 3 goalkeepers who would all be Englands no.1 (I'm not including Leno) and Ter Stegen isn't even going.

But yeah, I can't see them winning it, I think France are clear favourites, Portugal will be tough to beat as well.

The Danes definitely look Dane-gerous, their best side since '92 IMO and a very favourable draw, Belgium aside.

Last time I use that pun, I swear.

Some odd pickings there. Reus left out, Koch got a spot. Has he played for Leeds this season? Can also picked..

The one thing that might make it slightly less predictable is the amount of movement around countries that teams potentially have to go through. Could that unsettle them?

That said, France look like the obvious choice, but as we have seen with Denmark, Greece and Portugal, obvious isn’t always the winner.

I don't love England's potential route to the final, but can't help but getting a little excited and turning up 'world in motion' to 11 after seeing the players coming in to form

The RO 16 is going to be horrible, particularly if we win the group. However I believe our confidence will go through the roof if we can beat one of Germany, France or preferably Portugal.

If we manage that I think I'll really believe we can look forward to another semi-final exit.

Ramos and Carvajal not in the Spain squad, and the first time in World or European tournament history that the Spain squad doesn't feature a Real Madrid player.

Huge blow for Spain to not have Ramos in their squad but it was a mutual decision. Spain got a strong and talented squad this year
