Some horrible videos and some shocking social media racist abuse towards players. Think it’s ok to be a dickhead racist piece of shit behind a keyboard, fucking embarrassment

There's no way England are gonna sack Southgate and he won't leave either.

Maybe the FA needs to make some additions to Southgate's coaching staff. One of the reasons Ferguson survived so long at the top was because he knew the importance of keeping his staff fresh so new ideas could be introduced - Archie Knox got rid of Utd's drinking culture, McClaren was the first at Utd to do video analysis, Quieroz oversaw the tactical side of defending, etc. Maybe Southgate needs an assistant who specializes in attacking play and can give Southgate the option of something that utilizes a maverick talent like Grealish.

Saka getting racially abused on social media. I fucking hate how the world is right now.

It's not representative of the world - it's representative of why people who fight for freedom and anonymity online aren't doing it for the right reasons.

Fuck knows why you made me read this.

Didn't make you read anything. Point is, I don't get why some people seem to think that if Spurs click their fingers, all of the best players in the world would just be lining up to join us.

Really feel for Saka, Sancho and Rashford. You could see it in them, especially Saka, how devastated he felt. No need to abuse him though if that's what folk are doing. He showed more courage even stepping up on a night like this than any one of those idiots.

Love our players. Hate our fans.

Not at all personally. Think he's been fantastic for Chelsea, but certainly poor for England.

Pretty sure he's missed a few for City and doesn't really strike the ball well.

If the above is correct he has missed 3 out of 5 for City.

I mean it’s a Spurs fan site, so you can make the simple assumption the bulk of posters are English. If you wanna come rub our noses in defeat, might be best to go be a WUM elsewhere…that’s me being polite

Worth adding the Italian posters on here have been absolutely class throughout the tournament and again tonight in victory.

The job Mancini has done for Italy is a really fantastic turnaround from missing out on the WC in 2018 to champions of Europe in three years. Chiesa probably my favourite player from the tournament, the goal against Austria was class & he gave England so many problems tonight.

For England I see no point in calling out players, we gave a very good Italian side a close run just came up short. Would have liked a bit more attacking verve especially 2nd half but overall the team did us proud.

walked about for the whole match, terrible game to go missing
Mancini changed his attacking options not because those on the field were playing badly but to inject fresh legs and new ideas into the team and give the England defense new problems to solve. Southgate just stuck with the same lineup until the 70th minute. Regardless of how you or I feel Sterling and Mount were playing they should have been substituted early in the second half for fresh legs like Sancho, Grealish or Rashford so they could run at what is an old CB pairing.
I am baffled by Southgate’s reluctance to freshening up the team and his almost pathological aversion to actually attacking the opposition.
