Agree poch gets loads of credit.Granted, but I’d contend that Poch has continually produced a team that is greater than the sum of its parts, and goes a long way to explaining where we are now.

Yes. I’m one of them! I think he’s the best chairman in the league to be honest. However, I just wish he had a bit more guts when it came to the buying of players. All he has to do is increase his ambition (£s) by 20% and I reckon we’d see a massive improvement.Who are those people? I think even the most ardent Levy supporter will say he isn't perfect. Just because someone doesn't buy in to the doomsday scenario and argues against some of the OTT nonsense spouted on here, that doesn't mean they think our dear leader is perfect. He is far from it.

And what has that gotten us as far as silverware? Are you rooting for the team on the field or the business practices off it?
I understand there is a balance that has to be achieved but Christ some people act like they're talking about a stock portfolio rather than a football team.
I see lots of comments that we don't buy top players but honestly, the big names would be unlikely to come to Spurs anyway. Unlike our Premier League rivals, we have no real Champions League history or success. As much as I hate to say it, even the scum team (also in North London), while having not won it, they have been there pretty much every season and always proceed past the group stage. Man city have a longer CL record and can pay insane wages unlike us.
I don't believe Poch has stagnated at all. We are looking for players that can be developed into top players which has always been one of our strengths. I think we just need to have faith that the club is moving in the right direction, we will keep Poch and he will get us over the next hurdle. Most likely we will sign a couple of players that will leave people scratching their heads but will improve massively. Can't say if it will be Grealish or not but if he is on Poch's wishlist then I hope we turn things around and get him.
You mean Affect.Hey, Baz, didn't your dad say the new stadium wouldn't effect transfers?
Ok i'll give it a shot.
He said that the stadium will not have an effect on the transfer budget but didn't say what the budget was. After 10 years it seems that budget was £0.
.
It's not so much specific names - Poch would have known where are our weaknesses lay from last season and must have identified at least one or two players that he would have felt could offer us something different and so far, zilch. I admire Levy but I think that some people are too accepting of whatever he does.

he manages to piss so many other clubs off with his tactics that they avoid dealing with him at all costs.
Is this based on anything or is it speculation?
Levy has a reputation as a tough negotiator but the flip side of that is that he manages to piss so many other clubs off with his tactics that they avoid dealing with him at all costs. It's OK if you only want a single deal but in football it seems a bit short sighted to poison the well so regularly.
Well fergy said he'd rather have a hip replacement than deal with Levy again, Lyon said they had never experienced such terrible negotiations saying they'd prefer not to deal with us again. So regardless of who said people have been on the record to say it.

He said it was more painful than his hip replacement yes. I'm not doubting Levy drives a hard bargain. I've not seen anything to suggest many clubs avoid doing business with him at all costs.
You're aware that united won't deal with us because they are arrogant and not because levy is a baller negotiator, right?Levy has a reputation as a tough negotiator but the flip side of that is that he manages to piss so many other clubs off with his tactics that they avoid dealing with him at all costs.
