Honestly don't know if we make a major song and dance about signing 17 year olds. Maybe we do or he may just appear on our roster?

Winner of the player of the tournament at the U17 Euros...from a competitor...in a window we've only signed one other player....

I've already pre-booked my roadside spot for the open top parade!

We'll definitely make a big deal of it IMO

Just to clarify, Jadon is not on a pro contract. We offered to buy him as part of the walker deal, which was apparently rejected. The advantage of buying and agreeing a fee is that the cost is set and known. As we didn't agree a fee it will go to tribunal, which is famously inconsistent in setting prices, but Nan City have no say in this process as he's not under contract.

He's only been at city for 2 years so it won't be much.

Will Sancho play a part this year? I don't know to much about him. Only youtube
He's the same year as TOB; the year below Edwards. He could well get minutes but wouldn't be expecting a huge amount. He'll certainly be in the KWP, CCV, Edwards crowd training almost exclusively with the first team though I'm sure.

The thing with City is that they are not too concerned with youngsters with potential. They know they can splash the cash in any window and sign a player who has already reached their potential. A club like us need to invest wisely and take chances with youth.

Thrilled with this obviously! Taking the worlds best u17 prospect is an amazing statement about our future

AND planning our 2019-20 champions league final winning side as he Edwards and Sessegnon all turn 20

BUT in some ways the sell we have probably made to seduce these prospects is presumably game time over money and a reasonable conclusion of this is trading our short term future for our mid/long term term side a little as we accept that the next two years of transitioning through two stadiums will require us to sacrifice at least a few more of our peak players now and going all out for the title until properly settled at the NWHL. I'm fine with the decision and think it may be our best shot of winning the big prizes in my lifetime...but my feeling is that Dembelle, Eriksen, Rose and (hopefully not Alli) won't be in the side that finally smashes the glass ceiling

If this happens, given that he was apparently going to sign for the goons, i just wonder how much of this could be down to dele saying there's no better club in the world for a young player to be at right now than spurs, after kwp's mom award against the geordies. Maybe none whatsoever but the timing fits!

But it's so much more satisfying when it comes off.

Think "worlds best u17 prospect" is going a tad far. Madrid just spent €40m on a brazillian 16 year old.

This is huge dose of karma if this comes off after their pursuit of Edwards amongst others.
Few years ago I worked in Onomahs agents house who works for Rio Ferdinands agency. He told me the that City had thrown silly money at Onomah. The agent wanted him to stay with us but at the time was unsure of what was gonna happen. So I know for a fact City have tried stealing our best talent
