"Journalist" is a pretty generous label to give Lyall.

Dan is the kind who actually goes to press conferences. Travels around the world for pre-season and regular season games with the team sitting in the press box. Attends some youth games as well I believe. He also garners good relationships with others which sometimes bears the fruit of genuine information.

Lyall is basically your run of the mill fake ITK Twitter twat who Sky hired who doesn't really put in leg work and simply farms off others. Others who happen to all have realized who and what he is and he's generally detested for being a fraud. I could accomplish the job he does and I don't even live in the country.

Just because they're both hired by news agencies doesn't make them equal.
Just because ones a douch and ones nice they still get fed the same information although I'm sure Dan gets abit more specifically about us.

I like Dan but he's not on level with Ben or Ally imo

He could be right about Sancho but until we get more info from other sources I'm still sceptical

Completely agree with this. His Eriksen and KWP articles for Football Whispers notwithstanding (which were weird and out of character),
Ah yes, Football Whispers. The website I often land on when trying click the forum link on my mobile

Nah they're arguing about being a professional and honoring a contract and going awol. TBF what we would be if one of ours did what he is doing.

You're probably right, and admittedly he's no where near the profile of player (and he went to Palace not Chelsea), but did we about Nya Kirby?

No earthly idea but we've been doing it about Rose and his interview so I can assume yes?

In that case, it doesn't seem to have occured to BlueMoon that Sancho is a scholar, not a professional.... ;)

Until he signs for the Mighty Spurs! :D

Makes no sense, as scholarships are not like pro-contracts. We approach FA, and player is interviewed. If all above board, we are allowed to compensate. It is news o me that. Citeh in this case can stop him playing for us and hold him to his SC. that does not wash. The kid is a 17 year old child crying out loud. There has to be something more to this. I know they wanted a ridiculously sell on clause. Soon find out.

I read the rules yesterday and summarised them in an earlier post.

The rules are clear. City are required to cancel Sancho's contract if that's what he wantsbut he then can't sign for another club for 2 years unless the new club pays the prescribed compensation - a small amount linked to appearances and 5% of future transfer fees.

Clubs are barred from inducing scholarship players to leave their clubs but by all accounts it's clear that in this instance the initiative has come from the player.

Basically if he wants to join us City cannot stop him.

It just feels that if it was that simple there wouldn't be a hold up

There you go. If the prescribed club pays the compensation, which allegedly could be the dispute as to how much they want. If he leaves before his scholarship period is up, and compensation is not paid, he cannot play for 2 years. Now there 'may' be a 5m cap. Does not mean citeh have to play along. There goes the monkey.

If we can't agree the cash between us does it then go to a tribunal to decide the compo? All seems mad over such a relatively small amount (in todays market rather than 'real life'!) for a player of his potential.

Ah yes, Football Whispers. The website I often land on when trying click the forum link on my mobile
I thought it was just me; I never knew others went through the same pain.

The amount of times that I've clicked on a new page in a thread and read the first post and thought to myself, oblivious to the torture I'm about to go through, "Hey this is a pretty funny post", so I go and hit the funny button.

However... The rating doesn't register. I'm taken by a moment of confusion. "What's going on", "is my Internet broken". Then I realise my mistake. There's nothing I can do but sit and watch in terror as the page I'm on bumps down and that devious "FOOTBALL WHISPERS" advertisement appears at the top, right where I had tapped to give my funny rating...

There's a moment of agony before the Football Whispers page loads. I'm wondering to myself, "Did it register my click?" "Did I get lucky for once?"... Then I see my chrome task bar change to the Football Whispers IP address.

I just sit and watch the inevitable horror play out before my eyes as the football Whispers page loads. I know I've been tricked by the devious Goat bastard himself, Archibald&Crooks. I know that he's sitting there, laughing his evil laugh at my misfortune while his blood-ad money trickles in, but there's nothing I can do.
I despair.

That's when I remember the backspace button. Ihit it, but nothing happens. I wait 3 seconds more, still nothing. "I suppose my click didn't register" I think to myself and I press that button again.

Alas, at this moment my fate is locked in. It starts to bring me back to Spurscommunity, yes. But it brings me back twice. Now I'm back where I was originally, before this terrible ordeal ever began.

I could leave now, call it a day, but I'm committed to giving that post the funny rating it deserves. I click on the page I wanted to be on originally, I think I've learned from my mistake, that I'll beat the Football Whisper advertisement, and maybe I will..,
this time.

But deep down I know, that before long, during a lapse in concentration, or when my brain is on autopilot, I'll slip up again. And the Football Whispers Ad... will strike again...

I guess "We are delighted to announced player pending City recovering from state of denial and being an arse about it" doesn't have quite the same ring to it? I am still hopeful for this if for no other reason than Dan is the only one reporting it.

Could be City are just flat refusing to discuss, and as such fee is not an issue because we aren't getting that far.
