I don't disagree with the point, just a view of what might be happening.
Many scouts and agents will be looking for the best deal for themselves and the player at the time....city can almost always offer that, sadly playing time seems to come second when deciding what club kids want to sign for

Exactly. Even paying say 8m for the lad wouldn't be much of a risk. He is gonna be a star. Worse case he bombs and sell him to championship for the same price. The inflation on players at the minute is ridiculous. If you were a multi millionaire you could buy players for your team and sell them on in 2 years for a handsome profit. The stock exchange for footballers.

I don't know if that's exactly it but if it is, he looks to be enough of a talent that it's surely worth taking him on and sitting on him for a year, training with the boys, even if he can't play for us.

In my opinion Sancho could be a £30m+ player in 2 or 3 years time. Even if he doesn't live up to his potential he will be at least £10m. So if we are arguing with City over a couple of million I think we are a little short sighted here. Sometimes you have to speculate a little.

In 2-3 years time average players in League One will be £30m+ players so thats probably true.

it is weird that there is no itk either confirms or refutes the report by the journo if i haven't missed anything, most of the itk yesterday include something like "if it's true" so we still don't know whether journo's source is true or not

Gards popped in the itk thread yesterday for an update. Sounds like the 3million fee we thought we agreed with them was declined so it is stuck in limbo. Search posts by Gyid, there was 3 or 4 as he answered some Qs.
