TOTTENHAM boss Harry Redknapp has spoken to Roy Hodgson as he moves in for West Brom’s Jonas Olsson.
Redknapp asked the man who beat him to the England job for his opinion of his former centre-back.
Sweden international Olsson, 29, said: “I’ve got one more year left and have started to think about my future.
“I’m happy where I am and I like where the club is heading.
“At the same time, it would be fun to try something new.
“I’ve been here for four years now and perhaps it is not wise to become too rooted in one place.”
Redknapp is also lining up a £1m bid for Nottingham Forest’s Jamaal Lascelles, 18.
Spurs have monitored the England Under-19 defender for the last 18 months and he has also been watched by Arsenal and Chelsea.
Forest rejected an initial £2m offer from the Gunners last season but are bracing themselves for more approaches this summer.
And Redknapp is ready to test the cash-strapped Championship club with a bid as he tries to recruit more homegrown talent.
