Maddison and the young Ukraine CB Zabaryni would be an unbelievable window. We aren’t getting our top LCB choices so may aswell go for a young talent if Rodon or Tanganga leave.

Leicester would be wise to take the money if the financial problems are true, although they were close to CL a last year they seem have gone stale over the last year or 2.

If we can get him, put less pressure on actually getting rid of some of the foreign players, as it wouldn't stop us adding him, so wed have a bit more negotiation room

Man this would be such a good signing, just can't see leicester letting him go unless he kicks up a fuss.

Mate of mine is a big Leicester fan, runs a LCFC podcast and shit.

The tantrums over the last few weeks at Leicester having not yet signed anyone have gotten more and more frequent.

Reality is, it looks like they’re skint, and have a fair few players on wages that would be deemed pretty high for a club of Leicester’s size. Their massive achievements over the past few years I think make people forget that they actually are a pretty small club who don’t have huge funds.

They need to sell in order to buy, and that’s going to mean moving on one or two of their big name players. They may not want Maddison to leave but they may not have much of a choice, especially if Arsenal continue to piddle about where Tielemans is concerned.

I can’t see them letting Ndidi or Barnes or the two big CBs go, so it likely has to be one of those two, if not both.

It would astound me if they're willing to sell both Maddison and Tielemans this summer.

Surely it would be one or the other? Can't imagine Rodgers being happy about losing their best two players.

Unless Leicester are really screwed financially.

I wouldnt have thought Maddison is a Conte type player but he is a good player. I very rarely mind any of the antics footballers get up to during the summer - the uproar for example of Grealish partying it up in Vegas was just meh - the guys are having fun with a lot of money - let them live a little.

I do feel like we need a marquee/statement signing and think that is someone who has a bit of unpredictability, a bit of creativity or spark and Maddison has that.

If I was going to go for a Leicester player then it would be Barnes but think he would be pricier than Maddison.

We are in talks. Leicester very reluctant. But his contract and more takes it out of Rodgers hands. Would be an excellent acquisition. We are willing to pay. Turning your nose up at him (some) is baffling. I personally hope it happens. Plenty work to do. Winks in the mix as well.
People are turning their noses up to him on sentiment rather than talent.

He’s one of the best players outside of the big 6. Chasing him would also check out with us passing on Eriksen considering we have a playmaker-sized hole in the squad. James has more to offer than Eriksen at this point in their respective careers imo and not to mention Maddison would finally be a proper replacement for prime-Eriksen.

In terms of James wanting to join us — running down his contact, on the bubble for England in a World Cup year, Champions League football and a real shot at silverware this season. Seems like the right time for him.

Depends on financials, Tielemans will go this season as he has a year left, Maddison has 2 years so this is their last chance at big fee

He's actually unreal, would challenge Kane in being our best technical player.

Not getting my hopes up though.

Makes sense that Rogers would be reticent. But it may be out of his hands. However, you would think incoming players he would have more authority. So, would be odd to flip flop from firstly not being interested in Winks, and then being interested. unless that aspect of a deal is also outside of his purview. I would have thought if they had interest in any of our players, it would be Rodon. Or, Lo Celso. Or, both.

I am not a big fan of his big time Charlie attitude, but there is no denying he has creative swagger. Gives Conte another potent weapon. Can play on the right or left of a front three, or in a 10, behind a front two.

This would have to cost (player exchanges aside) a min of 50m.

Thank you. Would be a huge signing for us if we can pull it off.

If we get Maddison this window - I wont shy away from saying it - We will win a trophy this year.
PL - very hard given we need these players to get up to speed... but we will reduce the gap within 10points.

Im assuming this means he’s now at the top of our list for AM. Interesting if so as he didn’t really seem like he was in the past. I guess that could be because the price or Leicester not being willing to deal in the past.

We'll be title challengers for sure. This is Antonio Conte we're talking about, that'll be his ambition, he's all but said it.
