Agree, so far we had Ali Z say he heard his name mentioned the other week, Hotspur88 said he heard his name a few weeks ago but nothing since and that Wolf guy on twitter (who may or not be okay) said we had an enquiry nocked back a few weeks back. To me it sounds like he was on our list but we potentially moved on probably because he's ether too expensive or they don't want to sell. I certainly feel we are getting a little carried away here. But i could be wrong.
Yeah, i don't think he cares about that at all anymore. Professional footballers rarely do unless it's a direct rivalry, and even then, as we've seen, the opportunity to climb up the ladder can be tempting for some.I guess we'll never know if the hatred he displayed towards us as a club at the age of 16 (?) is still there inside him almost ten years later unless he comes out and says so.
But it does make me think if he hates us THAT much would he have Spurs shirts, among many other admittedly, hanging on his wall as shown on a video he posted on tik tok earlier in the year?
Now I appreciate it's the person as to why he's got them up rather than the club, but if the hatred was so strong would he have them?
Or am I making a completely non-point?

That's what I think too.Almost certainly everyone is getting carried away. No way the club pays £60m+ for a player in a position that isn't a priority.
You're just assuming it's not a priority though. Based on the multiple targets we've supposedly have, it seems that Conte wants an option to switch to a 352 so while it may not seem like a priority to you, that's really no guarantee that it's not a priority.Almost certainly everyone is getting carried away. Seems like they need to raise cash before buying reading through that and want midfielders but expect Tielemans to go.
midfielders from Lyon make me nervousPaqueta over Maddison for me, will be cheaper as well
But we are still planning to bring in another CB. If thats Bremer then he is around £40 mil plus Spence or another RWB will be around £20 mil. Thats already another £60 odd mil give or take and it could even be more. I've seen earlier this summer that Leicester would be looking for £70 mil if they were to even consider it. Personally even if he costs £60 mil (which i just don't see regardless of contract as he's probably their best player) it would still be a very large outlay on top of what else we are looking at. The absolute most i see us paying for a AM is £45/50 mil including add on's. I just don't see us paying anything more then that regardless of who is on our list. Obviously, we don't know, and i'm sure Maddison along with Paqueta and SMS are on the list. I just don't see it as being a remotely feasible option. If Leicester wanted to sell i'd feel differently, but i just don't see it. Especially to us who they probably view as a direct rival for top four. Most likely but thinking about it:
- Lenglet is coming in on a cheap loan deal, expensive LCB targets may have to wait until next summer.
- We cooled on Eriksen but now know for sure he's going to Utd. May have been some faint hope of him coming back into talks.
- There does seem to be a push for HG options of late (see Gordon interest), even more so if Spence falls through.
With that in mind us circling back round to Maddison would make some sense.
Probably just all of us just trying to fill space while things are quiet and the club are trying to close the Lenglet and Spence deals.

TBF Bruno Guimarães has looked seriously good since he arrived in Jan. I think the key with any signing, especially those from other countries, is work rate and determination. Its why Kulu has been so good and why i think Perisic will be a revelation. If a player has has the drive both mentally and physically then i think their chance of failure is dramatically less. Obviously that has to be balanced with talent.midfielders from Lyon make me nervous
Oh for sure, I think the one thing that seems most evident is that an AM is probably not an immediate priority and that whoever we go for probably wont happen until after the SK tour. Its probably why we haven't really had any serious links to players, just vague mutterings. It seems right now Lenglet and Spence are the priorities then probably another CB, only then do i see us making a move for an AM probably because at that point we will have a better idea of the HG situation, who we have sold and what our budget is looking like.Yeah it seems very unlikely. I do suspect this is all just agent rumblings that have been explored (due to initial interest from us and the player) but eventually have gone nowhere once Leicester's feelings were known.
What I will say is that I don't think we'll ever truly know what the budget is for certain players, it's possible that we might not consider spending £45-50m on Paqueta because it's a risk and not a priority position, but may still hold interest in someone like Maddison and SMS for even more money were they to become available. Transfers are long term investments and some

20 goals & assists in the PL. 30 in all competitions.Didn’t know Maddison got 20 G/A in all comps last season, would be a great signing
