Maddison in a World Cup season makes all the sense in the world. He finished last season on fire as well.
Huge ceiling with him still IMO.
If you are Maddison - in a WC year - would you risk this move to Spurs?

I would not. Mixed playing time for starters, then being uncertain how Southgate views the squad, particularly with the Dier snub. Maybe Southgate won't like what position Maddison plays, when he does play.

He's not getting in the England squad playing week in week out with Leicester so maybe playing with better players and also appearing in the CL could help him.

On their forum it’s been said they have 28 players for a 25 man premier league squad. They’ve got to sell before they buy. Many are complaining they’ve got too many players on high wages they can’t shift. Someone posted a list of players that have cost £200m in the last 6 years that have been poor buys.

The owner is in town now apparently and they believe this may kick start some transfers. Interestingly their transfer rumours section doesn’t have a page for Maddison. Not that I could find anyway. if there is there hasn’t been a post since May.

However on his player page there’s compliments on him keeping fit over the summer and returning to training it top shape and many think he will be even better this season. He seems to have got his act together after the birth of his first child and settled down a bit. Last summer he was on the piss in Ibiza.

There’s a debate as to whether they have an automatic option to extend his contract this summer. Some are convinced ITK have said there is, others disagree.
This is interesting, especially considering how many 'I wish we were more like Leicester' posts that I have seen on here over the past 3/4 years.

But anyway, apart from the few of the defenders (maybe), Maddison is probably the only one that is good enough for spurs imo. Would be great to watch. If we can get him for a reasonable price, do it.

Spence, maddison and a centre back and done.

Maddison could definitely play the Kulu role IMO, especially if Spence plays as an overlapping RWB.
Bingo. Can provide the AM role and also coverage for Kulu. Then Richarlison only needs to cover Son and Kane instead of all 3. Lucas can be the chaos emerald and come in when you need it.

Would certainly give our midfield something different .

bentancar, skipp , Bissoma, Hojberg is a outstanding quartet. But If we are looking for a central midfielder to get us a goal from no where that could hit double figures for goals and be able to play the role in a 3-5-2 if required then Maddison could be that player .

Conte may well think differently, but I feel like a broken record saying for years how we need more goals from midfield.

Similar to Grealish
No chance. Grealish was Mr Aston villa, the only reason they agreed to sell him was the stupid offer that city put in.

Leicester need to sell, i think around 40m. I doubt we'd have much competition for him either.

2 years left on his contract, and they have no one else they can shift for huge money.

City are not buying...

(Nobody is buying Grealish or Maddison for that price)
He's asking how much they are looking for not much he'd go for

If we can get him for 40m I'll buy a bridge off you.

My guess, he will be over 60m and less than 80m

Posted earlier in this thread that if we could use Winks in the deal and supplement him with the Bergwijn money and get somewhere close, that would be an incredible result.

Not with the contract length. Unless that's his release clause.
Somone mentioned on their forum they have discussed there is an option of a third year.

Leicester don't spend much money though they spend what they sell. They always sell a player or two to balance the books as their wage to turnover ratio is one of the highest in the league

I don't particularly want him, too much baggage. Definitely think we have better options if we're splashing £50m+.

Spot on. He's been jumped over by Mount and Foden and even Smith-Rowe now. He needs to be playing at the top level now and he knows it I'm sure.
