This is the period in the clubs recent history where we made a huge mistake and I fear we are starting to see the result.

Let's roll back to 18 months ago.....

We were sitting pretty in the league, even talk of challenging for the title

The club were in the knock out stages of the champions league.

We had just come off the back of destroying the European champions at white Hart Lane.

We had the player that everyone was talking about in Gareth Bale

We were playing some amazing football.

I think it's safe to say that the club had never been as high profile since the days of Gazza and Lineker.

THIS WAS THE TIME TO REALLY PUSH ON.

Everyone knew we needed a world class striker to really kick on but for some reason we didnt. We surely would of been an attractive proposition at that time for some truly world class players.

I don't know whether Levy or Harry was to blame but I remember thinking at the time this could be a huge mistake.

We ended up finishing 5th and winning f all again. Massive opportunity missed.

Even more so than last jan when we signed Saha and Nelson instead of what we actually needed. Because I honestly don't think we will be as high profile as we were 18 months ago.

I think Jan 2012 was worse. We didn't need much, just a little squad boost. Much easier to achieve than buying a world class striker.

Who gives a shit. It ain't where yo from its where yo at, so let's just get on with it without bitching about what should of been done last year, last window or last week. I swear spurs chat just repeats itself.

Nothing personal op btw.

I totally agree but we've got to move on. I don't know whether we became complacent, was it Harry's expensive tastes or was it a case of Levy not shelling out, we'll never know.

I think we've got a strong squad and our best 11 eleven, on paper at least, is better than Arsenal and Liverpool. I just hope that AVB works out how to get the best out of them. Maybe he needs to relax his principles and change his style until he has all the players that he wants.

Think we'll be alright but fed up that we've got to wait so long for some more action.

COYS.
