New players take time to adjust to the physicality of the Prem. Prem is a massive step up from the Dutch league as well. He works hard and hopefully things will fall nicely for him and the goals will come. Strikers and keepers have nowhere to hide when things aren't quite going right.

Kane's untimely injury has heaped a lot of extra pressure on him too.

i'm keeping the faith that it comes good for him and us!

Every time I've seen him, I've been impressed. His overall play is very good, but as a striker he will always be judged on the number of goals he scores

I'd be more worried if he was anonymous. As long as he keeps up what he is doing the goals will come. His only problem will be being on the pitch to take them.

IMO hes not 'selfish' enough, he spends too long in a match outside the box, he wont score many from there.

He's getting in the right positions so I think he'll start scoring with more regularity. I think he'd do better with a strike partner (although I think he's used to playing as a lone striker - different quality league though)

I want him to succeed but I just can't help thinking of Soldado every time his lack of goals is mentioned on here .

Even if he doesn't score, his play benefits our team. His contribution is so much more than Soldado.

His team mates don't do him any favors, countless times he could be put through but the pass was either delayed for too long and another option was taken.

I really feel for the lad as holds his position quite well but we don't play to his strengths.

We could sign Suarez and he'd go on a barren run immediately after donning the cockerel :p

I quite like him. He certainly doesnt hide and does enough in terms of link up play.

We really arent creating tons of clear cut changes for anyone atm. We are where we are in the league due to a tight back four and the monster that is wanyama.

Looks like a good lad. Needs time. Hope he gets it.

People should just hold their shit together and get off the lad's back. The idiots in the press can keep on braying, but we should have nothing but support.

Thats the point though isnt ? If we are playing with a lone striker, I dont want him linking up play, (unless hes the very last link in the chain!;)) I want him waiting in the box screaming at his team mates to give him the ball! I agree, the rest of the team isnt playing to that strength at the moment, and he might well feel he has to go and get the ball for himself, but in a single striker system, he will not score while doing that.
