It's not going to happen though. Have you heard Poch speak about him? Paid any notice to the various ITK and reports?

He's deadwood, a waste of a non-HG place and not suited for the Premier League IMO. For a supposed goalscorer, I found his movement and positioning for us were pretty dreadful.

Missed most of his shots that weren't from the penalty spot tbh.

Honestly feel some sort of Lazarus scenario for him at this point in his Tottenham career is wishful thinking/delusional.

I'm not one to preach about youth, but I'd much rather give Parrott a go next year and get Vinny off the payroll.

Fair enough - maybe I just like being optimistic/delusional!

I don't know anything about Parrott really - do you think he'd be ready to step up to the first team and play that backup role? Always fantastic to promote youth whenever we can.

Disagree with Sissoko comparisons

He was being mainly played out if position, as part of the attacking 3. Guess poch thought he coul be our mane :meh:

Janssen has not played out of position.

Sissoko had previously proved he can put in motm performances at this level tho rare at Newcastle and in the euros

Janssen has not .

He couldn't pass, shoot or control the ball but it was obvious he was physically a specimen

Janssen, not so much

The Sissoko comparison was just picking an example of someone we wrote off and came good. As I just said above, you could apply this to lots of Spurs players. Even lots of people wrote off Harry Kane before he got going (yes, that's a facetious example, but you get my point).

Obviously Janssen and Sissoko are different cases. Janssen was only 22 when he arrived and it takes time to adapt to a new country and a new league. He clearly has talent and good attributes - it's just a question of whether these can be developed into a Premier League player.
