The lad deserves a chance. He can surely do no worse than Fernando

If top 4 is wrapped up after the weekend, I would like to see him get some good game time in our last 2 league games, even if he has no future with us, I think it would be good to see what he can do.

Llorente has scored a goal from open play every 114 minutes for us this season - the best of anyone in our squad, ahead even of Son and Kane, albeit many coming in domestic cups. Others though have been crucial, including the goal to take us to the CL semi-finals.

Janssen, playing in our considerably better 16-17 team, got a goal from open play every 675 minutes. Two all season, both completely irrelevent near the ends of a 4-0 win over Bournemouth in the league and a 6-0 win over Millwall in the cup.

Give him a chance considering our lack of options, sure. But don't belittle what Llorente's managed for us this season, especially when Janssen already had a fairly extended chance, completely blew it, supposedly pissed off the management by refusing a loan, and then had 18 months of injury and fitness issues.

I ain’t belittling Fernando bud but i think Janssen, given a chance, would do no worse.

Llorente provides us with an aerial threat and physical presence. He brings others into the game with his hold up play. He is also a model pro and has big match experience. Not to mention he has scored some critical goals this season.

I'm not sure what Jannsen brings to the team. No pace, no height, no strength on the ball, poor finishing and poor decision making..... I'd love it if he was able to develop and while playing for us he should get all our support to help him give his best.

But I think it would benefit both parties to move on at the end of this season.

I know that we're on a forum and it's expected that we can view our opinions on what we see but how much can we know really. Based on the 1st two appearances I saw of Harry Kane, admittedly pre season friendlies, I said I thought he was shit.

There's a good player in Jansson somewhere and it's about unlocking that confidence to release him. He may not make it at spurs but we've gotta help him along this season cos there's always that small chance we will need him in a champions league final.

So let's start with positivity...

That's rather pointless if he's on his way out of the club - I'd rather us play Troy Parrot

The most help he could be to us in the Champions League final is making the half time oranges, as he's not in our Champions League squad.

At the moment Llorente deserves to start with Janssen the bench option.

If Janssen somehow does something coming off bench to show he may be worth retaining next season than that would be good although it's a bit too late in season now, but otherwise I think we need to look to move on in summer as we really do need to beef up our squad now if we want to push on.
