I love a good over head kick and it was an absolute belter but for me, and I don't think its rose tinted glasses, that Kanes last goal volleyed in from Dele's scoop was so good to watch

Giroud will get it, Carroll second.

Although we are only half way through the month and this time last year Dele hadn't faced Palace yet.

I'm not getting the fuss over these "Scorpion kicks". They only come about due to a poor cross/poorly timed run and they swung a leg hoping for a connection.

I agree but good goal nonetheless and if it wasn't a Gooner I'd probably appreciate it a bit more.

Both Giroud and Carroll's goals were far better than Kane's, imvho. They were 1 in a million. Kane's was a great goal and a nice bit of play, but West Brom were defending like statues

I see the goal as a whole and appreciate the build up more.

I'd rather see an amazing build up and quality goal rather than someone smashing it top corner etc.

Although it is called goal of the month/season and not play of the month/season I guess.

Lineker v Porto got Goal of the season in 92. If Lineker has any influence he'll sort it (y)

It is rose tinted if you think it deserves goal of the month over Carroll. Carroll should win it, no question imo.

You'll probably see a few more over head kicks this season but I doubt you'll see what Dele and Kane did again.

The Everton kid, Davies, must at least be in the shortlist.

Carroll will win it though, and rightly so.

By that logic Stan Collymore's goal against Blackburn where it bobbled over Tim Flowers' shoulder should have been goal of the season. Kane's goal was fantastic but it's not a patch on Carroll's.

I must be really fucking good at overhead kicks then as I was more impressed with Kane goal.
