Shame they didn't start v wolves and hull

i understand why harry started keane, but any realistic chance of 4th probably disappeared in those two games

with defoe we have pace - with crouch we have aerial ability

they are a better partnership than crouch and keane or the diddy combo

I'd say it was more down to our inability to break down teams that park the bus against us. Singling out Keane is unfair

:) to the above

there is no way the keane apologists aren't going to have to face this after such a brilliant performance by crouch and defoe

I don't hate keane - but i and others have had soooooooooo much stick from the keane apologists - this one will run and run and run :)

they were ok, nothing brilliant though. Defoe hit a hat trick while still playing poor against a league 1 team

Only you DC could start a negative, vitriolic, bull plop thread like this is response to a good win with a good performance.

well I thought they were brilliant - and according to lots of leeds fans we've just beaten one of the biggest clubs in England, bigger than spurs, on their own manor

not just beaten them - given them a footballing lesson in their own backyard

can't tell you how much i loved it :)

as for cringeworthy - i think you'll find that was the attack on people like Legend who took ridiculous stick for pointing out what was self-evidently true and finally Harry faced up to it

Who is this DC boy fella? I like the cut of his jib. His 'no surrender' type of attitude would have come in handy at Suez.

:) STT - i was alive during the suez crisis and probably know much more more about it than most on here

so no idea if you're being sarcastic or not

i also vividly remember the Cold War & Cuba crisis - again somethong most on here won't- which inspired Dr Strangelove

luckily we're talking about football not war

admittedly it's cyber war

I'm still fuming over the 'experts' who told me i was bonkers to say keane should leave before bent in the summer

it was they who were bonkers of course

and the cyber war has escalated since then - with Legend in particular getting ridiculous stick

if i was him I'd be running round SC with with my cyber hand cupped to my cyber ear

maybe he's more noble than I am

but i ain't forgetting the nonsense i took from the Keane apologists - no way

So Keane is (in)directly responsible for us not having a chance of finishing the season in the position we're currently in? He hasn't been very good at all this season, but that is very harsh. And inaccurate.

And really try not to still "fume" over the Bent thing. a) That was f**king ages ago and b) this is an internet forum. A bloody marvellous one, but an internet forum nonetheless.

Gave them a footballing lesson and only sealed the two goal cushion in the very last minute. Maybe our strikers could have done a bit more to make the scoreline more reflective of our superiority?

Before you open you're mouth anymore Legend got stick over his ridiculous attacks and constant name calling of Keano he often touched on the point of racism with his remarks!Lets put things into perspective we played a league 1 side tonight was still a great result tho but until JD&PC can do this against the top teams stop getting carried away with urself they havent set the league a light with there partnership and we need both to be scoring plenty of goals! We all agreed Keano should be on the bench but i still think leaving him go out on loan will come back to haunt us!And arent you the same person that keeps backing up JJ who clearly is not up to playing for us:shrug:

Keane was not needed cause we won - neither was Wilson, Modric or King.

Simple.

Im sure if we had lost though, someone would have started a thread blaming him for something...

The Recession? Climate change perhaps?

*MAJOR FACEPALM*

Dont really understand how you think they were "amazing"? JD was good, but Crouch was average.. To say we don't need Robbie Keane is laughable. If Defoe loses form, then we're pretty much screwed.

well I'll let Legend talk for himself over the racism charges

what i read was Legend getting ridiculous stick for rightly pointing out the Emperor keane had no clothes

and no I won't forget the scurrilous attacks on my mental well-being for preferring Bent to Keane

and i won't forget all the stuff I've put up with from the Keane apologists - including this particular thread

luckily here I can use my ignore button for the less than nice remarks made to me here

but a lot of the fiercest Keane apologists have been people with official status on here and I and Legend, and doubtless others, have had to take quite a lot of flak on the chin (apologies for the poor metaphor/analogy)

doubtless it's all character forming :) but it hasn't been pleasant

DC BOOY having read some of your posts recently i think that when you begin to spout your crap about keano the mods should take action and cut you off in your prime.

To say that jd and pc showed more tonight than what jd and keano showed at the start of the season when took teams apart without having to lump the ball up is just a lot of bollocks from someone who has an axe to grind against keano.
