Ornstein is very good, that cannot be disputed. He does of course enjoy a negative Spurs story but he was actually on the money re the Porro deal. It was on the brink of collapsing and Levy came I'm and managed to get it sorted. Re Toribo, we are 100% interested and in discussions.

To update my end for the upcoming window. My close contact unfortunately no longer works for the club so info my end will be less than previously. He does however still keep in touch with a few high up at the club and has been getting little bits so I'll still pass those on as and when. I also have my other guy who has football links via golf which sounds a bit strange but he's been solid.

Anyway, the long and short of it is I'll still pass on bits but it won't be anywhere near as much as previously.

deals take time to broker out i have to imagine, especially when we are talking about 30mil+ deals, that isn't chump change, plus a lot of times they need to sort out a replacement which they don't want the selling club on that end know that they have a windfall of 30mil+ coming in. Plus player has to sort out deal with new club, most likely talk to the manager, see what their plan is and all of this is going on while the team is playing matches unnlike during the summer window for the most part.

Look, I love when deals get done super quick, but I also realize that we need to also understand that if we came in with the exact number they want on the first try, they will know they could squeeze more out of it.

I feel like that might have to do with politics of him playing in France vs Saliba playing in England

If Todibo is who Ange wants we should be chucking everything at getting him early. We should be more ambitious than hanging around waiting for stuff to become easy. When Liverpool wanted VVD they threw the kitchen sink at it and got it done quickly, and it stood them in good stead for years.

Actually they tried to get the deal done in the summer of 2017. They failed and had to apologise for how they went about it.

They then paid a world record fee for a defender to get him in January. I’m not convinced 6 months is a quick way to do a deal.

Hadn't heard of him but after watching this comp, I hope we're looking at him. He really does love a nutmeg as well
