anyway my point is he is underrated from free kicks he is a bit wayward when shooting when he crosses a free kick they very often finish in a goal just a thought not alot of players in the prem must have as many assists from free kicks as him

would be great if we had a player who could cross when the ball isn't at a standstill.

For every great delivery JJ puts in there are 5 or 6 poor ones.

Corners that dont clear the first man.........:bang::bang:

how many more goals would we have if he would just step up to the occassion and clear the first man when he has too or delivery a wonder corner to keep the pressure on.

I mentioned this in another thread but i think we could see Jenas used on the right hand side of midfield next season.

I think he'd be good out wide as there's less responsibility, more freedom and as stated he hasn't got a bad final ball on him, practicing his crossing gamely as well will probably help his corners beat the first man more.

Jenas can be magic on his day but is far too inconsistent, even when you watch games where he has turned anonymous again you struggle to see him doing much to break up play or anything, yet when he is up for it he is all over the place, he simply is not going to be a midfielder who we can rely on to push up to the top 4.

His delivery in dead ball situations is very much the same as his form, he can whip in beauty yet 7 in 10 times the ball doesn't beat the first man, personally i think huddlestone is far more dangerous from the dead ball situation

Jenas also could not play as a winger, he would slot in and make our midfield narrow, leaving us again without width which is not the Ramos way

I think Jenas has a decent delivery in a free kick - generally all dangerous for the oppo. Agreed his corners are far less reliable (why is that?!!?).

It would be better all around if Lennon could cross a ball and we could leave Jenas to do what he does best in the centre of midfield.

Maybe if Lennon developed a good cross from a freekick then he could take them. He's not a lot of use in the box at times like that. Jenas might win some headers. Lots of tall people in box = good thing.

Interesting the thread poster should say this...

...I'd have said the complete opposite was true

so you found four goals out of around 100 goals in all competitions were supplied by Jenas from dead ball situations, christ if only we had someone decent then wed probably have got 20 more. I think you can minus 5 goals from where hes bottled it in front of goal -10 for the penalty miss gaainst PSV and the countless numbers weve let in because he hasnt tracked back.

Wow im amased and overwhelmed at his startling contribution...
