He was bought in 2005 and Levy paid quite a few bob for him, I kind of got the impression at the time, that this was a Levy buy and his constant inclusion in teams with a long list of managers has totally mystified me.

I did not take to him during his initial period with the club as Carrick was a regular and Pedro Mendes was a favourite. Yet no matter how good or bad Jenas form has been. He seems to always get the nod over more superiour players.

Here we are again 2011 and he still gets the nod ahead of other players. I know on many forums there are fans that loath him and some who love him. I am amazed how he keeps reinventing himself and wonder what it is he does behind the scenes in training ect that has led to 3 managers maintaining faith in him.

When the gong got tough at WHL in midfield who did Harry opt for.. Wilson, No, Kranjar, No .. YUP Jenas!

My only conclusion is that Jol, Ramos and Redknapp have inferior football knowledge to all football fans and can't spot that Jenas is sh*t. Either that or he actually has some qualities that are useful to the team.

Jenas is a different type of player to Kranjcar, and based on this year, his performances have been better than Palacios.

Not sure why there was a need to put the bit in brackets after the title either.

Also, Jenas is a more experienced player than Palacios.

Well the funny thing is WhiteStripe it is that is sang on the shelf side

Jenas Jenas he has got no song has got no song!!

Hence for those that go it will make them chuckle.

I think for most of us we all agree that Kranjar is different player to Jenas and is superiour in most aspects. But Wilson did one hell of Job against Milan yet, Jenas got the nod!

But the other ones make me chuckle too!
So if we all sing these songs what is it these manager see that we the paying public cannot!

Season ticket holder for 10 years. :hello:

Players you don't like, you always have to add a bit of insult into every post.

Jenas didn't get the nod, Sandro did.

Jenas got the nod to replace Pienaar. This is because he is a more like for like replacement that Palacios would be

Also Cuspo, if you are referring to the bench (ie jenas got the nod) then I agree. He should have gotten the nod, as he can cover more positions that both Kranjcar and Palacios.

whoops

I love it .. I reckon that he has picture in a some aweful sexual position or some thng nofootball related, because the guy has led a charmed life.

But talking football, he appears to be player you cannot let to comfortable, as soon as he knows he is regular he loses that spark. When he played against Bolton a few weeks back he was really good worked his socks off.

The run and the pass he pulled off against Wolves that lead to Defoes goal was lovely.

I just dont get it after all this time I would have thought I would have warmed to him. But nope I still cringe when comes on and I get a bad feeling when he starts. I just never know which Jermain will show up

I think technically, Jenas is a brilliant player. Remember he was the only one to hit the bar on Soccer AMs crossbar challenge?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqhoK0QWAXs

Also I believe he was the last player to score from a direct free kick for us...and he came fucking close a couple of games ago (forget who it was against).

Shame he's so inconsistent with the rest of his game.

(sorry I don't know how to imbed youtube videos!)

Wasn't the last free-kick scored by Bentley? and then Bale before that?

no one has made a serious offer for modric, huddlestone, lennon, dawson etc but doesnt mean other clubs wouldnt love him. If we offered jenas/made it known that we want him out then there would be tons of clubs both in our league and abroad that would love to have him.

he has remained a prominent figure in various spurs squads and various spurs mangers over the last half decade, not because he's lucky, but because he is a very good, skilled, versatile, hard working and experienced central midfield player with lots of ability. It's a shame so many supporters dont see this and think of him as some kind of joke

Your point is well taken and to be honest manager after manager have found some thing about him that has given then conference. I do make fun because the terraces make fun. But the fans don't lie, there is distrust in his creative ability.

Very true. Perhaps he gets in the team before some of the others because they are not superior players to him. I remember that Carrick used to get lots of grief before Man U bought him, then suddenlyhis contribution to the team was missed.
It is just that some fans have preconceived opinions of players that never change.
