We can only hope that the form of Palmer and signing Paqueta means they don't go for Doku.

Personally I'd swap out Eze/Gallagher for a decent CB

It’s (1v1 burner) by far the biggest profile gap in the squad. And filling it with Doku would be getting the perfect specialist. Either wing, doesn’t need momentum to beat his man, his output is improving. In games like the Brentford one, he or someone similar would’ve been the difference maker. Someone who can destabilize low blocks with their dribbling is so important, especially with the wingers being high and wide in our system. I’m glad we’re being linked to someone of his profile, even if we don’t get him. But, if we don’t get him, there’s more like him!!! Get a different one in if Doku doesn’t happen. Laurienté (I’ve wanted since the new year), Fati, Coman, Mitoma, Gnonto, Sinisterra, Sulemana, Williams. Some might not be realistic, but the profile, focus on the profile and get one who is!

If we go for him its yet another where it drags on. City probably know this and can sit and keep their powder dry until they need to act. They will look at recruiting elsewhere first.
If they want him, and there is noise they do, then he is going there. We cant match the money or the appeal

For me, CB is the priority right now and then go for others. We are not desperate in other areas as we have decent players we can utilise. as much as Sanchez did ok at the weekend, I dont think anyone would be happy if he deputised for Romero when he gets his pre international games injury

Would you be happier playing 5 games straight with Sanchez filing in for Romero alongside an inexperienced VDV, or soloman filing in for Kulu?

thats how i judge it and would be more worried with Sanchez for 5 games
