Every club in the world pretty much knows they can wait until the last week of the window to get Tanguy on a "no risk" one-year deal, with half his wages subsidised.

Honestly this one surprises me. He looks a very exciting player but his injury record is crazy. For the price they are paying that’s a risk imo, unless of course they know he’s completely over his injuries.
But I guess maybe at city the injury risk is less given he’ll play in rotation and have his minutes managed heavily.

Im sure you’re right. In the end of the day they have a fantastic team so can afford for players to be out for a bit. Still not ideal tho. I can completely understand why we passed despite his obvious ability.

I read this morning City have now enquired about Wirtz. That would be another quality addition if they do it. Must be nice to just cherry pick players. Tbh I’m surprised Chelsea didn’t go for him.

Take away the trophies, I think this is the wrong move for him.

Pep ruins explosive wingers. He makes them automatons, who are afraid of making mistakes.

Takes all the joy away, and makes them play within themselves due to over- thinking.

Free up cash for them to move for tanguy? Think sky linked Rennes to tanguy as there’s a connection with the manager

What do they need him for? Ridiculous club.
Tbh they genuinely need more attacking depth after losing Gundogan and Mahrez.

Ok they've just done the treble, but if we'd put out this bench against United people on here would've been spitting bullets:

You have to think that City will get this over the line despite us possibly still trying for him.

Was never going to happen once City got involved. They are paying £55m for him, I dont think we'd have paid that for him even if City weren't interested.

I did like listening to Guardiola talking about Chelsea throwing money around like he's not sat at a club that has distorted the financial landscape of football for a decade.
