Mæhle had a bad game last night... wouldn't have impressed the scouts from Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co Ltd. ?

Potentially very ideal for seeing out a game when we're ahead though.
That’s a good point. Will certainly be interesting to see what happens. If we sign Spence then that’s 6 wing backs on the books anyway. I expect we would need 2 sales at a price we deem acceptable before another signing even becomes an option - feels like a later in the window deal if at all, once our main business and potential sales are realised.

A sensible signing imo could be to sign a CM that can cover at RWB. Will probably get a lot of stick for this but outside shout for me would be Oxlade-Chamberlain, reckon he could cover both positions well. A better version of Sissoko if one is out there would work too. I guess it depends on if we want a star quality CM or not, and whether we want to give Sarr a chance as a 5th option.

He's always injured and on over £150k a week.

After his last knee operation it was doubted he would ever play again at the highest level. Quite remarkable he's even been able to get out on the pitch at all since he did his last injury. I'm not sure club's would even get insurance for him because of it.

Although we’ve never seen them do it.
I'd argue that Moura effectively played at RWB for long spells of numerous games under Mourinho, when we were essentially defending with 6-7 players. There's a big difference between what it says on the team sheet and what someone actually does on the pitch.

Conte has stated stated that Kulusevski can play wing-back.

May have just been because the match was over but didn’t Moura play RWB vs Norwich when he came on? Or am I imagining that? I don’t think he can play there anyway regardless, I think he gives up possession to easily and will run down blind alleys into midfield and lose possession and cost dangerous counters against us. Kulusevski could definitely play there but why would you bother when he’s been absolute class in the RW position

I don’t think Lucas can play as well in a wide, touch line hugging position looking for balls to run onto or attacking the back post. (He’s ok at the last bit but that’s all). He’s too used to dropping deep and turning and dribbling. Which is great in itself but again not the requirements of the role.
And based on both the need this season for an adequate stand in (because of Emerson) and the injury to Doherty I think if there was any chance of Lucas being moulded into a rwb (as conte has done so well in the past), we’d have seen it.

likewise with kulusevski. We’ve been told he can supposedly, even though he’d be an inverted wingback (which was abysmal the only time it was tried by sessegnon in the fa cup).

I don’t expect to see either of them in that position for us

Looking good tonight, seems to be equally comfortable on the left as on the right.
