Honestly know nothing about this guy other than Athletico dropped a bundle on him
I would give you a summery but in the time it took me to write it I’m sure we would get definitive reports about him signing a new contract so I’m not going to bother going into any detail.

With that in mind here’s the facts…he’s 22 and plays football.

So even if this was realistic (it isn't), I can guarantee that the second we got close to signing Felix, PSG or City would dump a wheelbarrow of cash for him and gazump us immediately.

At this point, I honestly don’t see ether of those two clubs being a viable option for him. PSG are planning to spend big on a defender and City with Haaland and Alvarez just don’t need him even if they do sell Sterling. Liverpool would have been the one team I could have actually seen him going to but not anymore obv.

There's a very limited amount of clubs that could afford him, Nd that would want him. We probably fall into that category.

City, Liverpool, psg don't need him, Juve Barca AC Milan inter Milan Bayern Liverpool can't really afford him atm,

It leaves Chelsea, United, us, and real Madrid who could make it work, there's really not many options for him.

I don’t get the clamour for Felix… he moved for a ridiculous sum of money based on one season in a rubbish league and has massively failed to live up to his price tag at A Madrid. He’s worth nowhere near what they paid for him. If it wasn’t for the fee, Madrid signing him would have been just as stupid as Wolves paying £36m for Silva… another player who has flopped.

Shame it’s agent chat. He’s got a good return, not matching his price tag but they paid for potential. Great with the ball, can head the ball effectively and draws a lot of fouls. Would realistically provide challenge and variety in our forwards.

Not completely accurate I'm afraid.
A lot of the Atleti faithful absolutely love him - he has bags of energy, plays hard, is brilliant technically and creates a crap ton of chances. His biggest issue has been goal return - but then Simeone is also at fault for regularly playing defensive formations - with tried and tested, older players.

Agree that they haven't got the return on such a massive investment but he's young and there's one helluva player in there.

I would LOVE to see him at Spurs but there is absolutely no chance this is happening.

Agent promo unfortunately. Though I wish it was true ?

Fabio has to ask the question to Atleti though... surely. Who out there will pay 100m. City after Haaland looking at CM options to replace Fernandinho, Liverpool signed Diaz in January and now Darwin. Chelsea looking at Dembele on a free as most of their investment will be on shoring up a defence that's lost a few faces, PSG have enough already, Bayern got Mane. Italian clubs couldn't afford him. Barca couldn't afford him. Madrid no chance! United no champions league and looks like prioritising Antony. Arsenal lol.

We must be a consideration. If Atleti do want to cash in, Lo Celso and 60m would equate to something along the lines of EUR100M total package.

Is it beyond the realms of possibility?

Tottenham have been alerted to the availability of Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix after Diego Simeone reportedly changed his stance on the striker. Atleti have been linked with a move for Spurs midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, opening up the possibility of an audacious swap deal in the summer transfer window

:D
All the work I’ve put in to make the transfer rumours sub-forum a respectable establishment and then you do that.

By the way, if Atleti really are keen on doing a swap deal for Emerson/Lo Celso, we should be banging down their door for Mario Hermoso.

Left footed CB, one of the best passers in Europe for a defender. He would be absolutely perfect.

Except this time ITK said “no chance”…
I adore the ITK’s and everything they provide to SC, and wouldn’t ever put their sources into question, but worth remembering we were told that Bissouma wasn’t someone we were even looking at…

Lo Celso, Reguilon and Emerson all players they like, triple swap would be ludicrous?

His talent is wasted under the style of Simeone, for such a good manager he should take more of risk

Lo Celso Emerson plus 50 M would be an acceptable offer. JF would be massive but not sure.

What is he even? Is he one of those Dele Alli players without a real position that function as some second striker and therefore needs to be accommodated tactically?
