No he is just a waste of time... he may be a half decent player but his off field antics just arent worth the aggrovation of

Barton may be a rat of a man but he's a very good player and would add some much needed bite to our midfield. Those saying he's overrated/crap etc obviously havent seen him play very often. I say we swap him for Mido!

57 - check the timing of my post and you will see that it was after the training ground f*** up.

He is what we need.

Not your usual pretty anus layabout who wants devotion for nothing. :shake:

personally i think he needs a manager like Fergie to get the best out of him, Jol seems too nice and couldn't handle Davids and Barton's attitude is similar to a young Davids

I would have him in our midfield though, 100%

In the right team (i.e. Spurs not Citeh), he would be immense. Pearce is a weak manager, Jol would utilise his best qualities like Fergie did with Roy Keane.

Bring em to the lane!

I did, and I also offered odds on the General Football thread that there would be a thread from you saying we must buy him. I switch back to SC, and bingo! My post was for the benefit of those who might not be aware of the vicious pikey psycho's latest antics.

From a footballing point of view, he'd be a good buy. From every other one, not. We need his sort like a fish needs a bicycle. For my money he can fuck right off, and I hope Jol and Comolli have more sense than to think they can sort him out, because he is scum to the bone. He'll probably end up in the nick with his brother before too much longer.

There is a positive out of this, City's two best players are out of our maybe must win last game of the season!!
Richards injured, Barton suspended.
I'd take both, young English and I'm sure Jol could tame Barton. He did with Mido.

He is what we are looking for.

Tough tackling, grit, determination.

Would be our Roy Keane if we bought him.

Yeah defo! Top player. The off-the-field stuff could be taken care of by a decent manager... Jol?
But yeah would bring what our midfield and team has been crying out for, for decades.
