Now, anyone who comes out of it saying Terry is innocent is clearly stupid now Anton has reacted like this.

Trevor Sinclair 'Terry was just trying to gain a competitive edge, he's not racist' That quote is all kinds of stupid.

and i'm the one who's not understanding?

I never said anything about calling anyone a monkey?

you can put whatever spin you want on the fact that i have said some black people and some white people look like varieties of monkey.

and you will see from the previous pages (hopefully, but not really sure now...) that i believe this is a racist offence.
If you call a black a monkey you tend not to be doing so metaphorically.
To which you replied
not really, some blacks look like monkeys, as do some whites.

always thought Paul Scholes looked like a baboon...

Your reply suggests that the majority of people who call a black a monkey are doing so metaphorically and that is what I took issue with. I haven't put a spin on anything.

I agree with John Barnes, if Terry did make a racist remark it doesn't mean he's racist. Stuart pearce made a racist remark but his career never suffered neither should it have done. The difference in this case is that many people despise Terry.

Was he punished at all? If the FA had banned him for a few months then we might not be having this conversation now. Personally I think if he's found guilty then Chelsea should sack him and take him to court just like they did with Mutu. How can they expect their players to respect him if he's guilty? How can their fans cheer him on? If I said something racist at work I'm pretty sure I'd be sacked.

I seriously struggle to see what the outcome of this will be.

What does everyone think will honestly happen to Terry AND Ferdinand?

Disturbing chant about Anton Ferdinand from large section of Chelsea following in first half. Sad to say, there will be fall-out from that.

Hate Chelsea with a passion.

Doesn't necessarily mean he's a racist, I think.

What will happen? 10 match ban, stripped of England captaincy and court proceedings and if you think thats harsh a teacher recently was sacked for using the term Jungle bunnies on twitter.

Both terms used unacceptable, One loses his livelihood the other a multi millionaire gains a few months rest, a small fine and no doubt cult hero for eternity at the Shed end.

If his punishment isn't severe I never want to see all these managers and co sporting their Kick Racism Out badges again.

If you read my subsequent comment, I actually stated that i was in fact responding to your comment (that SS57 quoted in his post) but was too lazy to go back and find it.

the rest still stands.

Oh Chelsea are a wonderful bunch of chaps. I wonder how Ramires, Drogba, Essien etc etc took that? I am sure the fans thought "They may be n***a's but they is Chelsea n***a's so that is different innit!" Then they would all compare their webbed feet and 12 toes.

Now the supporters are being investigated for chants about Ferdinand last night, supposedly in Terry's defence. So, whatever he did or said Terry has triggered a somewhat sordid domino effect.

The chant was "We know what you are" so whether that will be deemed to be racist or not in any way has to be decided by the FA. On the surface, it may not seem to be and it will be hard to prove. It's still not acceptable.
