Posted by zacs on FTL, but it's the kind of story that I would says plenty about the 'man':

England captain John Terry sparked outrage after illegally parking his car in a disabled spot.

The footballer blocked the parking space while he enjoyed a two-hour lunch with his family, meaning drivers with a disabled badge were unable to park there.

Shoppers who saw him take the high street bay in Esher, Surrey, were appalled by his "arrogance" - especially as there is a 50p-an-hour car park nearby.

But Terry, 27, who was pictured leaving Stamford Bridge without a seatbelt just last week, clearly wanted to be nearer the restaurant where he was eating.

When he returned he found he had been issued with a ticket - but did not seem to care, merely taking it off the windscreen of his black Bentley and driving away. He even happily signed autographs before leaving.
Full article.

Seems like Chelsea players think the rules don't apply to them off the pitch as well as on it!

I'd shoot him :) Fines are only penalties on those who can't afford it, an unjust system.

And this chump wants to be England captain.

The England captain should have the respect of the nation.

I respected Robson, I respected Beckham... I will never ever respect this overrated, arrogant thug... Annoys me so much he has this priviledged life. One of the least deserving ppl I can imagine.

I'd give Traffic Wardens much more power - Dougal's right, where a fine might make a big difference to you or me, to someone earning that kind of money it's a law they can basically ignore as it's punishment will always be financial and easily affordable.

Tell the yellow-tops that any car worth more than their personal annual salary, after issuing a ticket, they are allowed to run a key down the side and stick one of the rear lights out. If the owner complains, they should then taunt them into a physical confrontation, get smacked in the head and the union will fund their claim for compensation.

just spreadin' the wealth

why am i not suprised - i use to have a begrudging respect for Terry, the last 18 months - 2 years, he has really shown himself to be a complete wanker

Adopt the same system as Finland have, let the figure of the fine be set from a percentage of your income.. that means twats like Terry just can't ignore a fine just because he easily can afford it.. if the fine were 5% or so of his monthly income then the fine would hurt!

Sounds good aslong as there was still a minimum fine of say £50 for those on benefits who don't earn anything. Wouldn't want them taking advantage now, would we? :)

Agree with that and been thinking in those lines myself... don't actually know exactly how the finnish system works, is there such a minimum fee for low earners and what is the exact percentage set? Maybe Defsta knows... (we should lure him in here)

The only thing he knows about Finnish Law is the penalty for Goat Molestation

Ah, was wondering about that when i was in Belfast, really liked the look of the goats there, almost as nice as Swedish and Finnish ones, :hump: but maybe the rules are different there seeing as it is supposed to be British... so maybe good that I kept myself under control

:hello: I'm Swedish, not Finnish, but seeing as we were the ones that properly colonized and built their country in the first place, maybe the likeness is to be expected...
