John Anderson White would have been 74 today. I never forget his birthday or the day he died and I still think of him often. I was privileged to know him and to see him play.

Plenty of threads about him and his tragic death if you want to find and read them on SC and his son Rob's book is a wonderful tribute. Rob was just five months old when his dad was killed by lightning on Crews Hill Golf Course agedonly 27 and the book was his way of discovering the father he never really knew.

Rob is a season ticket holder at the Lane and one of my friends on Facebook.

Spooky. I saw an ad this morning in the local paper for membership of the C.H. golf course and it reminded me of John White.

We will never know what potential and adventures he had ahead of him but thanks as always Cozzie for sharing your memories with the rest of us.
