Thought it was an interesting article. It did seem strange at the time that having signed him, Jol didn't give Murphy much of a chance. Its nice to hear a player talk about himself a little more objectively rather than being blind to his faults like some of our current squad! I've heard Danny Murphy speak on Talk Sport on a couple of occasions and he seems like he knows his football. It also illustrates that BMJ is remains a class act.

For Charlton he was the main man, proving for Bent. In the hole.
We were to big a team than to have Murphy command that role.

This is rubbish. I know for a fact that the exact opposite has come out of Danny murphys mouth, and there was an issue.

Jol simply ignored Murphy, and it was heated.

Murphy of the era when we had about 300 centre mids...so many that harry signed two at the same time for Pompey and we still were far from threadbare.
