One of the Tabloids (can't remember which one) said he signed but was already injured. Official site says he's straight in the squad for the Everton game.

Don't you just love the papers

im a fireman doing a course at the british fire service college and was chatting to some tyne and wear fireman this morning about woodgate and they have had several dealings with him in local clubs as he is well known up there for being a "total piss head ..and a real arrogant cock" apparently he was sold to spurs because he was even turning up to training pissed and has been sent home ...they claim his booze problem stems from all the time on his hands injured...his legs are shot to pieces which is why he hardly goes up for set pieces....

this convo left me a bit pissed off as i was really chuffed to sign him.....hope he can sort his problems as he has undoubted quality

Dude, don't let it put you off your job - you guys do a dangerous enough stint as it is, distractions are what you don't need

It's a wind up - if he was that badly screwed up then the medical would've shown it in his blood and fitness tests. Don't fret on them - yeah, he's injury prone, but i would hope the noticeable magic that Ramos has worked with the overall fitness of our squad over the last few months would have a remarkable effect on JoWo's continued good health

Did he pretend he was Juande Ramos?

“From now on call me Boss or Gaffer” :)
